It's more fun than doing it alone

Real Housewives of N.Y.'s Bethenny Frankel Blogs About New Jersey: "She Is Sad"

Welcome back to Real Housewife Bethenny Frankel's exclusive blog covering The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Bethenny's blogging exclusively for E! Online every Wednesday, dishing about the craziness that goes down with these Jersey girls. Here's her newest installment, for episode five.

Take it away, Bethenny...

I disagree with Danielle's opening statement: "You either love me or hate me." In fact, I don't love her, but I certainly don't hate her either. I think she is a sad and insecure woman who has made some fear-based choices and is ultimately very lonely.

From what her astute daughter said, "Men come around for the goodies," perhaps Danielle uses her sexuality to get attention, which she continues to mistake as love. This seems to be why she is alone.

She is trying to manufacture a scenario in which her younger "booty call" Steve is her boyfriend when in actuality, he is on the sexual-favors plan. It remains quite tragic.

Here's what else I think...

More relationship manufacturing is obvious when she refers to Jacqueline as a sister when, in truth, they met during the filming of this show. Four months does not a sister make. She is starving for love, friendship and acceptance. I still maintain that I love her young, supportive girls. I just think she needs to make some new friends and stay away from this family.

Jacqueline just seems wishy-washy at this point, and understandably so. This one note is getting a little played out. We get it. Your family doesn't like your crazy friend Danielle. Anything else? We are happy your daughter is getting good grades. Now she'll get a car.

As for that photo shoot with her daughter, it was bizarre. Anyone would feel uncomfortable with a black sheer scarf over their heads. Why was it important that she feel at ease in a photo shoot. She's in high school! Confused. I actually agreed that she is prettier than the person in those photos. But why now does this shoot also have the new car as the reward? Maybe they should just go jogging together like Danielle does to bond with her girls.

When Teresa's daughters stay quiet, they get lip gloss and cell phones.  Dina and Caroline don't reward with stuff. In fact, Dina told Lexi not to shop to fill a void. Otherwise you'll end up with a bunch of stuff you don't need. True dat.

Now onto Teresa's "bubbies." (That's how they pronounce, boobies.) I agree that she needed them. Her husband was very sweet in this process, and I'm glad Teresa didn't get the huge ones. I guess she's a character with all of her Atlantic City wardrobe changes.

I, like Caroline and Dina, take five minutes to get ready. Traveling with that huge wardrobe would drive me nuts. I always bring a carry-on bag even if I go away for over a week. All of those clothes give me massive anxiety. I am a total minimalist.

Can't knock Teresa for not wanting to leave her children though. After all, it is family first on this show. Her husband gives her whatever she wants, but truth be told, she is devoted to her children. Kathy Griffin recently joked that Teresa named her children after the former model Gia and Melania Trump. Now that I find funny.

Caroline just doesn't fit in with this mold, but in a good way. She isn't into material things or boobs or shopping. I loved the scene at the gym. Caroline could kick some serious ass.

The best line of '09 (uttered by Caroline): "I could be hit by a bus tomorrow, and I'd be wishing I ate that freaking piece of cheesecake before I saw that bus coming." I love me some Caroline. I also like how she referenced their friend on the Atlantic City trip. Caroline says, "She didn't give me a reason to dislike her." Talk about coming from a place of no.

I continue to like Dina. She is pretty, a great down-to-earth mother with good values and doesn't seem to be a jealous friend. Danielle drives her nuts. I can totally grasp that, and I would be the same way if I were on this cast.

I actually just returned from the Water Club at the Borgata, which is where the girls stayed in Atlantic City. I even stayed in the same suite as theirs. Go visit Old Homestead Restaurant, relax in the incredible Immersion Spa and lounge in the outdoor pool. The hotel, casino and spa are spectacular.  Ahhh.
