He's ba-a-ack! Yes, that horrible, fascinating Henry VIII returns to Showtime on April 5 for season three, but you can catch the entire season premiere online, right now, right here in Watch With Kristin!

We also have some exclusive dish from Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Joss Stone about the wife-discarding hijinks to come. Do this season's wives make it out with their heads intact? Sure you could read a history book for the answer, but let the stars tell you instead...

So what can we fans expect from the new batch of episodes? According to Jonathan, who plays the megalomaniac Henry VIII, "[There is] a lot more killing and a couple of more wives; a couple of people from court get skewered, and Henry goes into mourning."

And then of course there are Henry's wives. The season launches with Annabelle Wallis (replacing season two's Anita Briem) mating with the king as the lovely Jane Seymour. Jane, of course, eventually gives birth to the future monarch Edward VI, but before too long, she becomes gravely ill and dies, opening the way for Joss' Anne of Cleves.

Says Meyers, "[Anne of Cleves] is wife number four for three months. That's two episodes, then I banish her to a house in the countryside, but I think she'll be back for season four. The thing is, I've never met Joss' character before I actually meet her. I've only ever seen a painting of her. So I go and I see her, and I don't like her. Not because she's not beautiful—she's just too dramatic. Henry doesn't like her."

Joss, on the other hand, thinks that the looks issue was key to Henry's dislike of his fourth consort, saying, "I am an ugly, German queen, and he is repulsed by me, therefore we do not consummate the marriage, therefore he annuls the marriage, therefore I get off scot-free."

Whee! No spousal executions this season. Thank goodness. We longtime fans are still reeling from Natalie Dormer's poor Anne Boleyn losing her head.

So are you excited for another round of The Tudors? What did you think of the season premiere? Post in the comments!
