Twilight, True Blood, Taylor Swift Suck Up People's Choice Nominations

New Moon, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart Summit Entertainment

The People's Choice Awards are getting ready to throw a vampire party of their own.

In a surprise to no one, least of all millions of screaming fanggirls, Twilight leads the list of honorees for the 36th Annual PCAs, scoring six nominations, including Favorite Movie (a shoo-in if ever there was one) as well as individual nods for Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.

Together, the trio is up for Favorite On-Screen Team, while Pattinson and Stewart also earned nods for Favorite Movie Actor and Actress, respectively.

Meanwhile, Anna Paquin's more mature vampfest True Blood is up for three nominations, including Favorite TV Obsession and Favorite TV Drama Actress for Paquin herself. Rounding out the bloodsucking trifecta, The Vampire Diaries also scored two nods, one of which—Favorite TV Sci-Fi/Fantasy—pits it against the HBO show. Get ready for a bloodbath.

As for other nominees, as no awards show is complete without her, Taylor Swift also scored three nominations, including Favorite Female Artist, while Miley Cyrus earned two.

Rounding out the boldfaced names up for awards are perennial faves Hugh Laurie, Brad Pitt, Sandra Bullock, Hugh Jackman, Chris Pine, Blake Lively, Jennifer Aniston, Britney Spears, Adam Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Beyoncé, Susan Boyle, Alec Baldwin, Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Matthew Fox and E!'s own Chelsea Handler, whose Chelsea Lately laughfest scored a nomination for Favorite TV Talk Show.

Vampire Wars (With Bonus Twilight Round): Who's the Best Good Vampire?

Angel, David Boreanaz, Vampire Diaires, Paul Wesley, True Blood, Stephen Moyer WB, Andrew Eccles / The CW; Jamie Trueblood/HBO
More from Watch with Kristin

Welcome to the climactic final battle of Vampire Wars! We've been pitting three structurally similar vampire-tastic TV series against each other, and now it's time to decide which show has the sexiest vampire with a heart of gold. These guys are built to kill and eat nubile young things, but in each case, a chance encounter with a very special nubile young thing causes them to instantaneously mate for life and get all heroic, violating a bunch of standard protocols of vampire-dom.

Your choices this round are David Boreanaz's Angel from Buffy and Angel, Paul Wesley's Stefan Salvatore from the breakout CW hit Vampire Diaries, and Stephen Moyer's Bill Compton from HBO's supernatural party bus True Blood.

Then, since the "good vampire" industry has been dominated of late by a certain Edward Cullen from the Twilight saga, we're offering you a bonus round, where you can decide between those first three and your boo Edward. (Plus, inspired by on a fan suggestion, we even set up a nonofficial do-over of the Best Heroine round that includes Bella Swan. We're expecting an epic Buffy-Bella throwdown in that category!)

You'll be able to cast your votes throughout Halloween weekend. If you didn't already cast your ballot for Best Heroine, Best Evil (Yet Hot) Vampire, Best Best Friend and Best Xander/Wayward Little Brother, what are you waiting for? We'll declare the final winner of Vampire Wars on Monday in the spoiler chat. (Hint: Things are looking good for a certain Slayer, so True Blood and Vampire Diaries fans need to step it up if they want a chance at winning!)

Attention, True Blood Fans: You'll Get Your Werewolves After All

Crisis averted. After we fans got our first glimpse at True Blood season three earlier this week, there was widespread concern that werewolf Alcide Herveaux, a major fan fave character from the third book, would not be part of season three. Well, we caught up with True Blood boss Alan Ball last night, and he assures us that Alcide is present and accounted for in season three. (Woo!)

Alan tells us that not only does Alcide appear, but that he's bringing his backstory from the books with him: "Alcide Herveaux is going to be on TV. We haven't cast him yet, but I believe he appears first in the third episode. Alcide is already in love with someone, a very bad woman named Debbie Pelt. But will he fall in love with some else? It's too soon to say."

We learned a great deal more last night at the fantastic True Blood writers' event hosted by the Paley Center. Among other things, there was a promise from Ball that one of your fan-fave actors won't be marginalized on the TV series (even if Charlaine Harris does have it in for his character in the books), and crucial info about where/when/how you can next see Alexander Skarsgård nekkid. Here's what we learned about this very, very important question:

Let's get one thing straight: There's more than one smoking-hot, self-loathing vampire with mussy hair and sad eyes in this town.

No, really, there is!

Also, looks like quite a few brooding, bad-guy bloodsucker types who aren't really that bad after all. And a whole lot of tough girls—most of them in high school—lining up to offer their blood, love or a stake to the heart.

Hey, there're even a few lady vampires.

So as we launch E! Online's new Vampire Party! blog—totally dedicated to Hollywood's fave undead from the Twilight universe, True Blood, The Vampire Diaries and beyond—it's time for a tour of the big players.

We've collected the deadest and sexiest stars from the soulless class, and those who love and slay them, in our Vampire Party All-Stars gallery. Get it.

Vampire Wars Doubleheader: BFFs and Little Bros

Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Alyson Hannigan, True Blood, Rutina Wesley, Vampire Diaries, Katerina Graham WB; Steven Lippman / HBO; Quantrell Colbert/The CW

Every center-of-the-universe TV heroine needs a great best friend to keep her grounded, and the leading ladies of our three vampire shows are no exceptions. For that matter, these girls (don't call them sidekicks!) bring their own mojo to the party. Buffy's BFF Willow (Alyson Hannigan) on Buffy the Vampire Slayer turned out to be pretty much the most powerful witch evar, Elena's best friend Bonnie (Katerina Graham) on The Vampire Diaries has second sight, and Sookie's beloved Tara (Rutina Wesley) on True Blood is so saucy and snarky, it's almost a superpower. But which bestie is best? That's what we have Vampire Wars for, silly! So you can tell us!

And in today's Vampire Wars doubleheader, we're also asking you to choose the most essential helpless mortal young'un.

Jump inside to tell us which Zeppo you prefer: Sookie's libido-driven ditzy sibling, Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten), Elena's drug-addled baby bro, Jeremy Gilbert (Steven R. McQueen) or simultaneously valiant and cowardly Sunnydale native Xander Harris (Nicholas Brendon)—Xander's not technically a little brother, but he sure does give off that vibe, doesn't he?

What Kind of Monster Kidnapped Bill Compton on True Blood?

True Blood is back! Er, wait, that's not right.

OK, let's try this again: In just nine or 10 short months, True Blood returns to HBO for season three, but to tide us over during the looong wait, we've got our hands on a leaked casting call that offers a sneak peek of things to come. (Preproduction is already underway on the new episodes and filming is set to begin in early December.)

Where's Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) been taken? Are there any familiar faces from the books in episode one of season three? And who's the new girl banging Eric (Alexander Skarsgård)? Here's what we can tell you...

Vampire Wars: Who's the Best Evil (Yet Hot) Vampire?

James Marsters, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Alexander Skarsgard, True Blood, Ian Somerhalder, The Vampire Diaries UPN; Steven Lippman/HBO; Andrew Eccles / The CW
More from Watch with Kristin

"And you’re what, shocked and disappointed? I’m evil." —Spike

Vampire Wars continues! As we explained earlier this week, we've decided that, structurally speaking, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, True Blood and The Vampire Diaries are all the same show. Girl meets soft-hearted vampire, girl enters bizarre world of the occult, girl gets mixed up in some stuff, girl hooks up with hard-bodied other vampire, wackiness (and bloody good scandal) ensues.

But which of those wicked, supersexy vamps is the best? It's time to decide who's the best evil (yet hot) TV series vampire, and you have to make the nearly impossible choice between James Marsters' bitingly funny Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Alex Skarsgård's Viking vampire Eric Northman on True Blood, and Ian Somerhalder's devilish Damon on The Vampire Diaries.

So...who do you love? Tell us in the poll below!

Vampire Wars: Who's the Best Heroine?

We had an epiphany earlier this week: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Vampire Diaries and True Blood are all the same show (structurally speaking). All three vampire series are about an impossibly attractive and moderately magical heroine from small-town America who must balance the demands of friends and family with her problematic feelings for not one, but two sexy local vampires: a broody good one with an itchy conscience and a snarky bad one who likes to, um, eat women.

So, between now and Halloween, we'll be pitting the casts of our three favorite vampire shows (sorry, Moonlight) against each other in a little fan challenge we're calling Vampire Wars. We're setting up fights between characters from BTVS, TVD and TB in five competitions over the coming days, and the best out of five wins. You have to vote early and often in all five categories if you want your show to take home the trophy.

First up, tell us which vampire-show leading lady is tops: Buffy, Elena or "Sookeh" Stackhouse...
