Rosie O'Donnell isn't the only one this morning whose love is on the rocks.

Sources confirm that T.R. Knight and his boyfriend of about two years, Mark Cornelsen, have called it quits.

"It's amicable," one source says of the breakup, which was first reported by In Touch. "It was just a normal breakup. It just ran its course."

When exactly things fell apart is unclear because…

T.R. Knight Has a Very Good Reason Why He's Not Watching Grey's Anatomy

More from Marc Malkin

T.R. Knight hasn't really been keeping up with Grey's Anatomy.

And it has nothing to do with not being on the show anymore or even the not-so-nice ending he had with Grey's creator Shonda Rhimes.

"Right now I'm working on a house so the TV is in a box, so unfortunately I don't know a lot of what's going on right now," Knight told us yesterday at L.A.'s Mark Taper Forum theater, where he's starring in the musical Parade (opening on Sunday, Oct. 4). "I have to catch up."

He did, however, manage to catch the season premiere. What did he think? Keep reading to find out…

Chris Brown Has a New Movie. Any Takers?

Loading...

Thankfully, there's more to recommend the film than that.

Besides Brown, Takers features a dazzling array of hardworking, if not totally A-list, actors we like: Matt Dillon, Paul Walker, Zoe Saldana, Hayden Christensen, Michael Ealy, T.I. and Idris Elba, who's been great in The WireThe Office and even Obsessed.

Happily, the film ditched its earlier, porn-sounding title, Bone Deep, which makes it easier to see that it has what we like in a movie: precision heists, double-crosses, explosions and lots of guys jumping through stuff while discharging firearms.

We're in. How about you?

Grey's Anatomy: Dr. George Is Dead, Dead, Dead!

More from Marc Malkin

Ya heard it here first! Dr. George O'Malley is a goner.

I broke the news back in May that T.R. Knight's character on Grey's Anatomy was being killed off because the actor was leaving the show.

And now, finally, series creator Shonda Rhimes has confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that the young doctor will flatline forever during the season premiere, airing Sept. 24. Last we saw the poor chap was during last season's finale, when he was at death's door and unrecognizable after being hit by a bus.

Meanwhile, Knight, reveals to the magazine for the first time why he decided to ditch Seattle Grace...

T.R. Knight Joins a Parade After Grey's Anatomy

T.R. Knight is going back to his theatrical roots.

Fresh from the official confirmation that the actor will not be returning to Grey's Anatomy, it's been announced that he will star as Leo Frank in an upcoming production of the musical Parade at L.A.'s Mark Taper Forum.

The show, which won two Tonys after debuting on Broadway in 1998, tells the real-life story of Frank, a Jewish Southerner who was lynched in 1915. He was accused of raping and murdering a 13-year-old girl in Georgia. It's widely believed that Frank was wrongly convicted amid growing anti-Semitic tensions in the South.

So when can we see Knight on stage?

Week in Review: Pattinson Bumped! Speidi Bounced? Brangelina Gives Back! Jon & Kate Giving Up?

Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Kate Gosselin, Jon Gosselin, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt LEFRANC/BENAINOUS/GAMMA/EYEDEA/ZUMA; Frank Micellotta/Getty Images; Brad Barket/Getty Images; Jason Merritt/Getty Images

So it's the weekend already! Although, really, it couldn't have come fast enough for us. Robert Pattinson can only have so many brushes with death, David Letterman can apologize only so many times and Brangelina can donate only so much money before we declare it a day and retire to our caves with the first season of True Blood and a case of Mike's Hard Lemonade.

Here's what else haunted our dreams last week...

1. We might stop talking about Heidi and Spencer. Seinfeld pulled off being about nothing, but the hourglass has about run out on the Pratts' vacuous run. Al Roker votes yea, but sometimes Speidi are fun for all the wrong reasons, so you still have plenty of time to state your case before a final ruling is announced Monday during E! News.
2. This is getting serious. Ladies, you know Robert Pattinson isn't really immortal, right? At this rate, he may not make it to the Twilight-mad Teen Choice Awards in one piece! And then who would Kristen Stewart spend all her time yearning for?!
3. David Letterman threw himself under the bus and offered up a more sober apology to Sarah Palin, who accepted the Late Show host's kinder mea culpa. And yet people still protested the poor schlub!
4. The next episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8 will feature a "special announcement." We're thinking divorce, but isn't that what TLC wants us to think? Won't we feel silly when it turns out they're just planning a trip to Mall of America or something. Mom and dad did spend a few minutes together, after all...
5. A couple of cops in Ohio are being investigated for allegedly breaking into the home of the woman who's carrying Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick's baby in order to dig up tabloid dirt. Have you no shame, sirs?

It's Official: T.R. Knight Leaving Grey's Anatomy

T.R. Knight is saying goodbye to Grey's Anatomy.

After weeks of speculation, the actor broke his silence this morning to announce he's hanging up his doctor scrubs.

"Leaving Grey's Anatomy was not an easy decision for me to make," he said in statement released by his rep. "I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to play this character and will miss my fellow cast and crew very much. I continue to wish them the very best, and wholeheartedly thank all of the fans who have supported me and the show with such passion and enthusiasm."

So what does show creator Shonda Rhimes have to say about all this?

What's next for T.R. Knight?

Now that he's hanging up his Grey's Anatomy scrubs, I'm told Mr. Knight is in a New York state of mind.

"He wants to get to New York and do theater," a source said, "but there are no done deals yet."

Back in March, it was reported that he took part in a reading for a Broadway revival of Lend Me Tenor directed by Stanley Tucci and also including Alfred Molina, Tony Shalhoub, Jan Maxwell and Marian Seldes.

As I was the first to report, Knight is saying bye-bye to Grey's Anatomy after he asked to be let go because he was unhappy with his diminished presence on the show.

Knight appeared opposite Patti LuPone in a 2001 revival of Noises Off as well as in the 2003 production of Tartuffe. He last appeared on the New York stage five years ago off-Broadway in the drama Boy.

Justin Chambers doesn't want T.R. Knight to hang up his scrubs just yet.

"T.R. is an amazing actor and I want him to be there as long as I'm on there," Chambers, who plays Dr. Alex Karev on Grey's Anatomy, told us the other night at the Salvatore Ferragamo benefit for L'Aquila Earthquake victims. "He's wonderful to work with."

Besides, Knight's character, Dr. George O'Malley, has so much growing to do...

Charlize Theron: Rallies With Mom for Gay Marriage

Charlize Theron may not have spoken at Saturday's Meet in the Middle gay marriage rally, but she certainly didn't go unnoticed.

The Academy Award winner was more than happy to pose for pics, chat and give out plenty of hugs as she listened to speeches with her mom and a small crew of friends.

Theron was an early supporter of the Fresno, Calif., rally, which was organized by the grassroots Courage Campaign.

She wasn't the only boldfaced name in the crowd. Find out who else was there and what they said…
