No Nuptials for Knight
T.R. Knight and his boyfriend of less than a year, college student Mark Cornelsen, are not getting married anytime soon.
In fact, Knight says he wasn’t able to fathom the idea of saying “I do” until just a couple of weeks ago, when the California Supreme Court legalized gay marriage.
“It was never an option,” Knight told me last night at a gay marriage celebration in West Hollywood. “You realize more when something like [the Supreme Court decision] happens that you’ve been treated like second-class citizens. But it’s simply a matter of our rights and freedom.”
Jay Leno Says "I Do" in Support of Gay Marriage
Forget that "gay face" controversy!
Jay Leno will be among the boldfaced names at a gay marriage celebration and rally tomorrow night at the Abbey in West Hollywood.
T.R. Knight will join the Matthew Shepard Foundation’s Judy Shepard and Love and Pride jewelry designer Udi Behr for a group wedding of gay and lesbian couples at the landmark gay pub on Robertson Boulevard.

A Walk Down the Aisle for T.R. Knight?
Is T.R. Knight planning on marrying his boyfriend, UCLA student Mark Cornelsen?
Perhaps the pair, who've been dating for less than six months, will tie the knot on June 4 when Knight hosts the Matthew Shepard Foundation’s group commitment ceremony for same-sex couples in West Hollywood.
About 50 couples will take part in the ceremony presided by West Hollywood Mayor Jeffrey Prang and witnessed by Shepard’s mom, Judy to mark the start of National Gay Pride Month. Couples will also be wearing Erase Hate pendants, from Love and Pride jewelry line designer Udi Behr.
The Matthew Shepard Foundation has a lot of meaning for Knight and Cornelsen. The two first met when Knight hosted the organization’s Los Angeles awards show last October.
GLAAD Tidings in Hollywood
Kathy Griffin sure knows how to yuk it up with her gays.
The redheaded funnylady picked up the Outstanding Reality Program award for her My Life on the D-List last night during the GLAAD Media Awards at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.
“I got the Michael Kors dress, the H. Stern jewelry and [stylist] Robert Verdi put me together,” she said. “I didn’t let a straight person near me tonight.”
While there were plenty of yuks throughout the evening, there were just as many serious notes.

T.R. Knight and Larry King Breaking the Silence
Silence will be golden tomorrow for T.R. Knight.
The openly gay Grey’s Anatomy star has just signed on to participate in the National Day of Silence ceremony at the Miguel Contreras Learning Complex in Los Angeles.
Sponsored by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) to help combat bullying and harassment of gays in schools, the day is marked by students across the country taking vows of silence during the day.
This year’s 12th annual programming—most of which takes place on Friday—is dedicated to Lawrence "Larry" King, a 15-year-old California boy who was shot to death in February by a fellow student, allegedly because King was gay.
I can also exclusively tell you that talk-show host Larry King is getting involved, too.
