Get Your Damn Hands Off My Song, John McCain

John McCain’s pissed off yet more groups of people, and it has less to do with his politics and more to do with his etiquette. See John, when you want to use something, it’s considered polite to ask first. And, apparently, you aren’t asking any left-wing bands whether you can use their tunes to support your campaign before you pluck 'em down on your stereo system.
First it was the Foo Fighters who wanted “My Hero” to have nothing to do with you; then it was soul singer Sam Moore who didn’t want his classic “Soul Man” song’s reputation linked with Republicans. Now Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger"and Bon Jovi’s “Who Says You Can’t Go Home” are off-limits. Must be awfully quiet there on the right, while Obama’s being thrown bigass parties on the left with music icons Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen performing.
Hey J.M., why don’t you try some public domain songs for your campaign? “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” and “Yankee Doodle Dandy” are perf—no one who can complain about you using them! Or why not go with Heidi Montag’s awe-inspiring dance track “Higher”—she already knows you’re a big ol' fan of The Hills, shouldn’t get any grievances there. Just tryin’ to help.
