Seinfeld-er Socks It to Sarah Palin

The good stuff comes a bit later, so hold tight. See, we threw on our best shade of pink and went out to Santa Monica Saturday night for the fourth-annual Pink Party, hosted by slink queen Kate Beckinsale. Was a benefit to raise awareness about gynecologic and breast cancers and to support the Cedars-Sinai Women's Cancer Research Institute, perfect weekend ending to Margo Casablanca's last menstruation cycle (she gets fixed in moments, poor thing!).

The woman of the hour was founder Elyse Walker, a fab fashionista responsible for bringing out her celeb clientele like Marcia Cross and Jennifer Garner to support and raise money for new research and treatments. Every two minutes, an American woman receives a gynecologic or breast cancer diagnosis, which is why Marcia has come out every year to support this par-tick fundraiser. "You can't be everywhere. This is one I'm committed to," she gabbed while looking fit 'n' frisky in her tight pink frock.

Unfortunately, many gals, like stunner Cross, were reluctant to chat about Sarah Palin. "It's like a volcano for me," Cross almost growled, haltingly, clearly holding back. "If I start, it's just gonna explode. So we'll leave it at that."

In fact, practically no one would let it rip on the potential vice prez even though many were dying to. Julia Louis-Dreyfus was the only one to tell it like it is barking, "Sarah Palin is awful and I think she's a joke." Leave it to a check-cashing H'wood reruns grande dame to lay it plainly, eh?

Since many were hesitant on the topic, we asked Beckinsale, whose dress may not have photographed the best but we thought looked absolutely gorge, if she thought Tinseltown and politics should mix. "I think Hollywood and artists in general are people who have opinions. So I think it's hard for it not to mix a little bit, but I'm not running!"

To our complete surprise, and yes, we will regret saying this, but Heidi Montag had our fave answer o' the night: "I think everybody in America and politics should mix." Of course, then Heidi babe utterly derailed her admirable wisdom be declaring about Palin: "I love her. I can't wait to see what she does for our country."

Not so fast, bitch.
