Not So Fast! Lindsay's Ring Ain't All That

Even though E!'s own fab Tina Dirmann got all those feisty fam quotes from the wacko clan known as the Lohans, regarding how SamRo and Linds are not engaged, we have a few more to add, and then a few thoughts of our own: The Awful Truth can also confirm via a source close to Lindsay Lohan, that the troubled starlet is, indeed, not betrothed to Samantha Ronson, at least not now—officially.
"It's not an engagement ring," our rock-spotter said, noting that Lindsay and Samantha's jewelry choice is often subject to interpretation. In late July the actress and DJ sported matching infinity-lock bracelets by N.Y.-based designer Jules Smith, causing speculation that the wrist adornments were more than mere accessories. "It wasn't a promise [piece]," our source told us then of the bangles, "everyone is running off saying what they think it represents."
While our Lo-and-beholder confirmed Lindsay is "happy," no trip down the aisle is planned, as of yet. Yet being the operative word.
You all do realize what's going on here don't you? It was the same way Ellen teased us with was she/was she not before she eventually came out of the closet. Lindsay wants us all, breathlessly, on the edge of our seats waiting for her to all-out declare her love (including hitching plans) to her BFF and more, Sammy-doll. "Only it won't happen," predicted our tight, inside Lohan campers, who feel quite strongly, as we've said before, that Lindsay's doing all this for the attention and because she's just damn bored over her lack of A-list career work, not much more.
Poor Samantha. Her heart's going to get busted worse than Brad's, we fear.
