After the entire universe watched their wedding, we can't blame Prince William, aka the Duke of Cambridge, and his new bride, Duchess Kate, for wanting a little privacy on their honeymoon!

After delaying the honeymoon (some say due to partying too hard at their wedding), it's been announced that they chose the Seychelles for their romantic getaway. But more importantly, why?

You'll never believe whose death had something to do with it:

Safety first!

"The principal reasons for Wills and Kate choosing the Seychelles is because of the level of personal security they can enjoy there, following the Osama bin Laden takedown and unrest elsewhere in the world," a royal family insider reveals to us.

Buckingham Palace, like much of the rest of the world, is on high alert after the infamous terrorist's takedown.

And it appears everyone is taking extra measures to ensure the security of the world's most-watched couple.

"The exotic string of islands in the Indian Ocean, including Mahe, the main island, can be virtually locked down—save for incoming tourist flights, all passengers on which will be vigorously profiled," says our top Brit source.

And the couple, who our super solid Palace vet tells us will spend "at least part of their time" on the ultra-exclusive, four mile-long paradise island of Desroches, will be staying in a rented ultra-luxe, multimillion-dollar villa.

"Yes, we rented the island to the British royal family," German real estate mogul, Farhad Vladi, who owns the North island, revealed to German newspaper Hamburger Abendblatt. "Prince William and his Kate are spending their honeymoon there. But you will understand that we are not saying anything further."

And according to our royal mole, "This island affords them not only the ultimate protection because of its remoteness and the ease with which it can be made secure, but for the same reasons, it offers them the utmost privacy for a truly romantic honeymoon."

Hopefully Kate packed her favorite white bikini, but with the islands on lockdown, she could even pull a Jennifer Aniston!
