Gibson was seen out partying with a group of about 10 people, the majority of which were obviously of the female gender, Wednesday night at Drai's Hollywood, sitting at a round table in the middle of the club. "The girls were all super-skinny and beautiful and in their 20s," a clubgoer dished to us. But which girl caught Mel's eye?
Two body guards kept other civilians at bay while Mel directed most of his attention to "a skinny young brunette."
"He spent most of the night talking to this younger girl," says our savvy spy. "He was sitting really close to her and talking into her ear." And our hipster source adds, "He was wearing a buttoned-up dark blue flannel shirt and looked very old and worn down."
Gibson, with his brunette gal-pal, left the club around 1:30 a.m., presumably to take a dip in Gibson's jacuzzi?
Another single Hollywood actor, albeit about a lifetime younger, Zac Efron, was spotted this week having a guys' night out on Monday evening, hitting up Skybar's Champagne and Caviar with three buddies.
Efron and his boys arrived around midnight and hid away at a corner VIP booth. Making no clear effort to change his single status, the actor was very chill and relaxed all night, keeping close to his circle of friends.
But feeling a little chattier was Kim Kardashian's ex, Reggie Bush, who hit up Jill Scott's The Light of the Sun album party at Playhouse Hollywood with his pal and Alicia Keys' hubby, Swizz Beatz.
"Reggie and Swizz were goofing around, talking to waitresses at Playhouse, just having fun," a clubgoer tells us. "It was funny, Reggie was looking at a girl who looked exactly like Kim, but he seemed very single."
Newly not single actress Amy Smart and her hunky fix-it fiancé Carter Oosterhouse were spotted in New York for the Tribeca Film Festival this week, where we caught the couple exiting the French Connection store in Soho with loads of loot in hand! "Amy even left the store wearing the brand's jacket and slate striped top," a source spills of the couple, who were apparently "super cute together."
Minka Kelly, also in the shopping mood, was all smiles while indulging in treats and trends at A.sweeT. Candy & Fashion Boutique in Beverly Hills. An eyewitness, who says Minka was "so nice and down-to-earth," tells us the actress was scoping out a studded iPhone case and sour gummy peaches.
