"Will everyone stop thinking that dude is gay? Seriously guys. How immature is it of the media to perceive this guy—it has to be because of Brokeback, right?"

"He's one of my oldest friends, and it's very weird that they have this—it's very immature and infantile the way they treat his whole situation," Levine tells Out about the media.
"If him hanging out with his bros means he's gay, it's like further perpetuating that weird homophobia that exists in our culture, which is just stupid. So, yeah, he's my buddy. I f--kin' love the guy."
Can't argue that Adam has a point there.
Perhaps if J.G. took a cue from Adam and hit the town, rather than opt for a steaming cup o' brew people wouldn't goss! Then again, why should he pretend to be a guy constantly on the prowl when he's not?
"I've also been perceived as a womanizing whoremonger or whatever, some sort of weird dude," Levine also told the magazine. "That's just weird. I'm young, successful. I've been having fun and hooking up with girls. It's like, Leave me alone. What, do you not want me to do that?"
Here, here boyfriend! And for the record, we think your sexy looks help, not hurt the band (another issue he talked about in the mag).
So does Mr. Levine, notorious for wooing the ladies (and a good one at that we hear, kudos Adam!), quasi-bashing the Jake gay rumors nix him as Crotch-Uh-Lastic, Parrish Maguire, Seymour Plow-Me-More or any other closeted B.V. in your guys' minds?
