Lester Cohen/WireImageGone are the days of Cougar Town being laughed at for its feline-femme-inspired name (which, by the way, the powers that be decided not to change, after all). Sure it's silly, but the sitcom has proven itself to be way funnier than any lame jokes about the title.
And now that the series is revving into its second season, the hottest goss on the Courteney Cox comedy surrounds whether or not real-life bestie and former Friends costar Jennifer Aniston is set to make a cameo. But we've got an answer, straight from the cougar's mouth:
We caught up with the über-cougarific Carolyn Hennesy—who plays the outrageous Barm Coman, always on the prowl for a younger fellow (called a "cub," obviously)—on the cheetah-print carpet at Wednesday's Cougar Style Soirée.
Carolyn was hosting the event, held at Hotel Palomar in Los Angeles, and we had to ask her if she knew whether Jen was really going to be stopping by for an on-camera visit with her old Friends pal (à la Lisa Kudrow).
"I do," she told us cryptically of the possible Aniston invasion. "And that's all I'm going to say."
Now, you didn't think we would let her get off that easy did you? When Carolyn seemed at a loss for words when dishing on the famous A-lister, we decided to make it easy for her: Give us a wink if it's good news.
"Did you see me wink?" Carolyn asked as she went into friggin' winking overdrive. So subtle! Love it!
Looks like there's going to be a new cougar on the block!
"Yes, this is what I have been led to believe," Hennesy cautioned. "Nothing is set in stone, but I have been led to believe that things are in the works."
And no, Carolyn has no idea what role Ms. Aniston will be playing: "No, please, please," she 'fessed. "Barb knows nothing. Barb knows where the bar is. Barb knows where the young men are."
Still, we can't wait! Why not bring Jennifer's new gal-pal Chelsea Handler, too? We hear cougars travel in packs, after all!
