Forgive us Alexander Skarsgård, for we have sinned. We've been lusting over Joe Manganiello so much we've forgotten why you fanged our hearts in the first place.

That body.

First of all, if you're grossed out by A.Skars, Anna Paquin, and Stephen Moyer totally naked ("snatch patch" and "sock of destiny" included, surely) and dripping in fake blood on the latest cover of Rolling Stone, then clearly you aren't a real Trubie:

The last few episodes of the HBO hit look like they've been directed by Quentin Tarantino, with all that blood and hate-sex. And you won't be reading any complaints about it here!

Until werewolf Joe joins the pants-off/dance-off party, we'll stick with Skarsgård and his graphic scenes and invitation muscles for now, thank you very much.

Creator Alan Ball clearly doesn't discriminate when it comes to who he has sleeping with who, or what, on his show, and as long as there is sex he's happy. Sorry Twilight.

"To me, vampires are sex," Ball says in the latest Rolling Stone issue, out Friday. "I don't get a vampire story about abstinence. I'm 53. I don't care about high school students. I find them irritating and uninformed."

Moyer adds why he thinks True Blood is so sexy:

"If we go from a base level, vampires create a hole in the neck where there wasn't one before. It's a de-virginization—breaking the hymen, creating blood and then drinking the virginal blood. And there's something sharp, the fang, which is probing and penetrating and moving into it. So that's pretty sexy. I think that makes vampires attractive." He laughs a little. "Plus, Robert Pattinson is just hot, right?"

Hey, he named drops R.P. so you can't hate him now, right Twi-hards?

Alright Melissa Rosenberg, it's your turn to fight, or rather, write back. Sex up those Robsten scenes like you've promised and maybe you can get some respect from the real vampire king, Mr. Ball.
