"Well, Simon wants God next."

American Idol judge Randy Jackson at a Grammy party over the weekend when asked if we can expect any more surprise guests this season.

The A.I. crew hosted celebs like Neil Patrick Harris, Victoria Beckham and Katy Perry as judges for the auditions portion of the show during the Paula Abdul-Ellen DeGeneres transition.

You sure can tell Simon Cowell (and his ambition) is ready to move on from A.I....

Just listen to Randy's so-over-it tone if you don't believe us!

Hmmm, why don't we help 'em out and find famous judges for A.I.—say one of Michael Jackson's children? They sure do seem to be making the daddy-tribute rounds rather well.

People seem to be trying to overexpose these poor kids like, well, it's a certain someone's job, so we would hardly be shocked if Prince or Paris popped up in the Idol hot seat soon.

All sarcastic comments aside tho, Randy told us he was "surprised" at how much he enjoyed watching the new episodes air with guest judges. "I had my doubts [at first]," R.J. 'fessed.

Are you all watching this season? We say it's not at all the same without Paula, and certainly won't be entertaining next year without Simon...but the ratings seem to disagree.
