Why the glum face, sexy Skars?

One of our favorite things to come out of 2009 has to be the emergence of baddie True Blood vamp Alexander Skarsgård.

But the hot Swede was chowing down at Joan's on Third in L.A. yesterday, with a guy pal, looking like he was about to cry tears of blood. Chalk it up to...

...the pesky paps if you will, but it pains us to see our deelish A.Skars when he's not showing off those pearly fangs.

Either way, we hope Alexander perks up soon. He's looking slightly pale and gaunt lately, and we're starting to think he may actually be a vampire! Where has he been hiding from us lately, anyway?

Could it be because his rumored more-than-costar Kate Bosworth ain't by his side? After all, he couldn't stop gushing recently about how "amazing" the petite blonde is to work with. Gag.

Sure, we think Bosworth is a step above Evan Rachel Wood, but she isn't exactly the companion we had in mind for A.S. She's more of the kinda girl Star magazine can inaccurately link up with a married Chris Martin and have it actually sound believable...ya know?

So, would you do Skars even while he's looking a little down? We're sure you know how Team Awful would answer that!
