Hysterical! Nikki Reed Wants to "Slide Under the Radar"

A lot of people have asked whether we love or hate Nikki Reed. Through all our cryptic coding it's confusing, yes.
First of all, we don't give people a hard time whom we don't actually enjoy. That certainly includes Nikki. Sure, we'll joust her for her not exactly subtle Robert Pattinson digs (after all, there's lots of drama that did or did not go down with Robki), but at the end of the day, this is a very, very smart girl. And we want to give her credit when due.
And of course, we have gabs of Nikki musings from the New Moon press party we simply must get to, like what Nik thinks of her legions of haters...
"It's something that's really upsetting and also something that I'm fascinated with, as well," said Ms. K, all classy, grown-up-lookin' in midnight blue. "It's weird to be a part of this new [media] wave. It's kind of like a cultural phenomenon on its own, like this whole, like, online gossip situation. I mean, people have always been obsessed with celebrity, but there was a disconnect, there was a separation...I feel like your success is almost determined a little bit, now, by how exposed you are to the world."
Online gossip, you say?
"You're recycled really fast, especially women. Like you're hot while you're literally hot. [Laughs, fans her face.] And then you're out."
Not that Ms. Robbie-turned-Paris has anything to worry about in that regard.
Reed continued:
"And so I think an ideal career for me would be to sort of slide under the radar, so that I know that I'll always work and people will always wonder—there's just no mystery anymore," Nik opined/complained/half-lied. "But then again, like, producers actually cast based on [online gossip]. If you're not known in a small town, they don't want to cast you. There's a new system of law right now."
We told you Nikki was a smart girl. She knows exactly how to massage the media, if you ask us. She has been successfully flying under the radar—not leeching onto Kristen or Rob—and it's totally working.
Or not?
