Andre Agassi Talks Crystal Meth in New Tell-All
It's hard out there for people who were once kinda famous and now want to cash in with an earth-shattering tell-all. Ever since Mackenzie Phillips and her shocking incest announcement, everyone else has had to step up their secrets game.
In his autobiography, Open, Andre Agassi tries really hard to bring the drama, but the People preview of the tennis star's book goes more like this:
So you hated tennis but your father pushed you? Eh. That crazy mullet thing was actually a hairpiece and you were prematurely balding? We need more. You and Brooke Shields never worked as a couple? Yawn. Oh wait, you dabbled in crystal meth?! Shut up! Tell us more.
While it's no Jodie Sweetin "I snorted meth at an Olsen twins' movie premiere" revelation, it's still a crystal meth story...
Update
Michael Jackson's Rabbi Rats Him Out in New Tell-All
This can't be kosher.
Add Michael Jackson's former spiritual guide to the list of people looking to cash in on the pop icon's death, as TLC star and frequent Oprah couch-sitter Rabbi Shmuley Boteach today released a book based on 30 hours of intimate and revealing taped conversations with the star.
So not so much a tell-all as a share-all.
The Michael Jackson Tapes: A Tragic Icon Reveals His Soul in Intimate Conversation is based on confabs the rabbi had with his "close friend" back in 2000 and 2001.
As for why Boteach sat on the private tapes for nearly nine years before unveiling their contents, well, according to the rabbi's website, "It was Michael's wish to bare his soul and unburden himself to a public that knew he was deeply suspicious of him."
In other words, think of it as more of a public service than a major betrayal of trust.
Lamest Saved by the Bell Tell-All Ever
This isn't exactly the best week to come out with a tell-all. There's just no way to compete with Mackenzie Phillips' dramabomb, but Dustin "Screech Powers" Diamond does his best.
And honestly, even if there wasn't some '70s actress talking about her incestuous affair with her father all over the place, Diamond's Saved by the Bell tell-all, Behind the Bell, would still be a pretty big fail.
Turns out the eternal Bayside High nerd was quite the outcast offscreen, too. In the Us Weekly preview of the book, Diamond speculates about a lot of things he thinks happened but never witnessed because no one wanted him around.

Birkhead, Stern Cite "Numerous Lies" in Anna Nicole Exposé
UPDATE: Stern dropped his suit against Speer in July 2009, but was still seeking punitive damages from Hatton, who had not yet responded to the defamation lawsuit filed against her.
___________________________________________________________________
Larry Birkhead and Howard K. Stern remain joined at the hip when it comes to defending their Anna Nicole Smith-related honor.
As the two-year anniversary of the model and reality-TV star's death approaches, the once-feuding duo filed declarations Tuesday in Stern's ongoing defamation lawsuit against two of the sources for the 2007 "tell-all" Blonde Ambition: The Untold Story Behind Anna Nicole Smith's Death. (View the documents.)
The book, written by former MSNBC journalist Rita Cosby, contends that Stern and Birkhead had a homosexual relationship and were in cahoots to ensure Birkhead got custody of Smith's infant daughter, Dannielynn, while Stern—who Cosby also alleges played a role in the drug-related death of Smith's 20-year-old son, Daniel—made off with as much of Smith's money as possible.
According to Wednesday's filing, however, defendant Mark Speer (who once provided security for Birkhead at the behest of his then-attorney, Debra Opri) "started exhibiting extremely odd behavior" when he was first hired and ultimately went on to tell Cosby "numerous lies" about what happened in the wake of Smith's death.
K-Fed Talks Brit: "I'm Definitely Rooting for Her"
Anything Brit can do, K-Fed can do better on her coattails and with a slightly lower production value.
Hot off Britney Spears' For the Record MTV documentary, Kevin Federline is ready to spin his side of the story, telling People that despite their hard-fought custody battle and her near career-ending meltdown, he still cares for his baby mama—and not just, as some may think, her bank account.
During his sit-down, the 30-year-old dancer turned rapper turned devoted father spoke out for the first time about Spears' January hospitalization, coming after she locked herself in her bathroom with their youngest son, Jayden.
"That whole night is a blur," he said. "You want to talk about one of my lowest points of depression, that was probably one of them."
Lynne Spears' Storm Is A-Comin'
Through the Storm, Lynne Spears' memoir about the trials and tribulations surrounding her daughters' lives in the spotlight, is due out next week, but the author tells People that Britney "has yet to read it."
Well, let's hope the tell-all isn't too toxic then.
After all, it would be a shame if the book's content was to somehow affect mom's relationship with the pop star, which Lynne says "has undergone a tremendous healing."
Jamie Lynn, however, "loved the book," says Lynne. "I started to cry because I told her, 'I wanted so much for you to like it.' And she got up and kissed me on the cheek and said, 'Mama, thank you so much.' "
