Martha Stewart Brings Rachael Ray Feud to a Simmer
Martha Stewart wants you to know she has no intention of throwing any pies in Rachael Ray's face.
The two TV titans' supposed spat came to a boil last week after Martha had some choice words for Oprah Winfrey's protégé on Nightline.
"[Rachael] just did a new cookbook, which is just a reedit of a lot of her older recipes. And that's not good enough for me," she said. "Rachael is different. She's more of an entertainer...with her bubbly personality, than she is teacher, like me. That's not what she's professing to be."
Of course, now that everyone has declared them frenemies, Martha feels the need to cook up some compliments for her younger counterpart.

Before everyone and his mother had a daytime talk show, there was Oprah Winfrey.
And the news that in less than two years there won't be an Oprah Winfrey Show as we know it has prompted an outpouring of well wishes and appreciations from those whose stars have shined a little brighter thanks to Oprah's warm glow.
"I am going to enjoy every episode between now and 2011," offered Food Network star turned syndicated talk-show host Rachael Ray, who waited until Oprah had discussed the matter "one-on-one" with her audience today to comment.
"Oprah opened the door for me to move into daytime television and I can't thank her enough. I look forward to seeing what she does next…there will only ever be one Oprah!"
Hell, even Dr. Phil McGraw knows who first put him on the map.
Foodie Fight! Martha Disses Rachael, Says Dueling Domestic Diva Is "Not Good Enough"
If you can't take the heat, get out of Martha Stewart's kitchen. That means you, Rachael Ray.
While it was just a week ago that the dueling domestic divas made nice by making their first joint appearances on their respective daytime chatfests, apparently a few days are all Stewart needed to make up her mind about Ray's culinary prowess. Or lack thereof.
In an interview set to air tonight on Nightline, the high priestess of homemaking shuts down any would-be comparisons with her long-rumored younger rival.
"Well, to me, she professed that she could—cannot bake," the ice queen begins. "She just did a new cookbook, which is just a reedit of a lot of her old recipes. And that's not good enough for me.
"Rachael is different," Stewart goes on. "She is more of an entertainer…with her bubbly personality, than she is teacher, like me. That's not what she's professing to be."
And lest there be any confusion, that's not a good thing. That sound you hear? That's the sound of it being on.
Jennifer Lopez Dishes on Herself, er, Her Kids
When you don't have a movie or record to promote, it's always nice to have your twins to talk about when making an appearance on Rachael Ray.
That's just what Jennifer Lopez did on Friday as she cooed about her two 1-year-old bundles of joy, Max and Emme, revealing how her daughter not only gets her attitude from mom, but "she's got my little body, it's crazy."
As for her son, Jennifer says that she and hubby Marc Anthony "are always claiming he's got my head and he's got my mouth," not to mention she's "like thank God [Emme's] got my nose!"
Nothing like a little heredity competition when it comes to parenting. "That's the nature of who we are, we can't help it," she says. "We're both trying to steal it all." Perfectly normal, right?
Rise 'n' Shine: Jodie Foster Lands Her Own Fast & Furious
• Jodie Foster tried to talk her way out of a speeding ticket and a reality show simultaneously. Guess which one stuck.
• Laguna Beach's Jason Wahler's engagement is off, probably because he's allegedly shopping around a reality show called Jason & the Cougars and his 21-year-old fiancée, Katja Decker Sadowski, is too young to compete.
• Rachael Ray is just so lovable.
• Aubrey O'Day puts her clothes on long enough to score a potential record deal.
• Sir Anthony Hopkins would like to play American Idol's Hannibal Lecter Simon Cowell in a movie. Any casting suggestions for a potential Paula Abdul?
• Bachelor bling!
• Dear Orlando Bloom: Seriously, this is not fair to the millions of women who lust after you. You and Miranda Kerr need to get a stay in your room. Love, Rise 'n' Shine
There are all kinds of balloons in Big Pic this morning!
Rise 'n' Shine: Eddie Murphy Is No Angel
• Eddie Murphy reportedly has never met Angel, his 22-month-old daughter with former Spice Girl Mel B.
• It may have Michael Phelps in a bit of hot water, but smoking something other than cigarettes is what ignited the bromance between Michael Douglas and Danny DeVito.
• Miley Cyrus may have a nice new car, but her man Justin Gaston has a nasty new 'do.
• How Charming! Alyssa Milano has more than one employee paid to fetch drinks for her. Honey, this is a recession—all you have to do is turn to the nearest man and remind them who's the boss.
• Is Rachel Bilson the next Rachael Ray?
• Dear MC Hammer and Ed McMahon: Loved it! Thanks. Love, Rise 'n' Shine
Suri Cruise's return to our Big Picture gallery is a great cure for the Mondays.
Ray Still Feeling Rosie!
Rosie O’Donnell is making waves in daytime television again. But this time, it's because someone likes her!
Rachael Ray has a tribute to O'Donnell planned for her show tomorrow. But I hear lawyers from Telepictures, which produced O'Donnell's old show, are not too happy about it. Telepictures laywers, I'm told, made some calls to Ray’s team today demanding they pull the all-Rosie show.
Why? Read on.
Food Network Serves Up More Rachael Ray
The Food Network has added more Rachael Ray to its menu.
The perky host, known for peppering her speech with phrases such as Yum-o! and Delish!, has reupped her contract with the network for another two years.
Under her new deal, Ray will host a prime-time series dubbed Rachael's Vacation, which will follow her travels around the globe, as she samples local cuisines and explores different lifestyles.
She will also continue to preside over 30 Minute Meals, but will film only 60 episodes a year, down from 80.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"Rachael is the quintessential example of the homegrown stars we create at Food Network," Food Network President Brooke Johnson said in a statement. "She has been with us since 2001, and we have built a strong partnership that will continue for years to come and bring more new and exciting projects."
Ray's ongoing relationship with Food Network has positioned her as the channel's biggest star—particularly after the network recently canceled Emeril Lagasse's Emeril Live after 10 years on the air. (The Essence of Emeril remains in production.)
In addition to her Food Network shows, Ray, 39, hosts an eponymous syndicated daily talk show, which was renewed through 2010 earlier this year.
She also serves as a Dunkin' Donuts and Nabisco pitchwoman and publishes the lifestyle magazine Every Day with Rachael Ray.
