Project Runway's Cast of a Lifetime
Though most of them will eventually be out, the list of Project Runway contestants is finally in.
The long-gestating sixth season of Project Runway, postponed nearly nine months while Bravo owner NBC Universal battled the Weinstein Co., is finally gearing up to premiere Aug. 20 on Lifetime.
And though the Peabody Award-winning competition show already ate up and spit out 12 fashion designers, took a trio to New York Fashion Week and crowned one of those three canny visionaries the winner, here's our first look at all 16 contestants who are in it to win it this season:

This Just In: Lifetime Releases Project Runway Pics
• Project Runway: Check out these four fresh Project Runway promo photos from the show's new network, Lifetime. Project Runway season six premieres Aug. 20. Welcome back Tim Gunn and Heidi Klum!
• Big Brother: CBS sources whisper that Big Brother 11 will premiere July 9 at 8 p.m., and then air Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. We have updated our summer premiere dates calendar accordingly.
• Melrose Place: Sister-wife Korbi has read the Melrose Place pilot and explains what's what with that major-character murder plotline.
• Untitled Jessica Simpson Project: OK, it's not really untitled. It's called The Price of Beauty, and apparently Jessica Simpson didn't get enough reality TV when she was on Newlyweds with Nick Lachey because now she's invited cameras to join her on a round-the-world look at freaky beauty practices. No word yet on whether or not a particular network has caught Jess's pitch.

Tim Gunn Gets a Shiny New (Iron Man) Suit
Only a few good men can make a metal suit look dashing—just ask Tim Gunn.
The Project Runway mentor will be donning a dapper Iron Man suit in a new comic miniseries called Models Inc., set to debut Aug. 26.
According to the New York Times, the first book takes place during New York Fashion Week. After runway models Mary Jane (yes, Peter Parker's Mary Jane) and Patsy Walker (alias: Hellcat) team up to clear Millicent Collins (aka Millie the Model) of murdering a set designer, the fashion guru borrows Robert Downey Jr.'s shiny supersuit to save the day and guide the designer's ladies.
"I'm not certain of the particulars of how I'll be portrayed," Gunn told the Times, admitting he remembers Millicent's comics, which bowed in 1945, because she was a model. "To say I'm a character in a comic book is wild!"
The silver fox is in good company—Eminem recently battled the Punisher, and President Barack Obama teamed with Spider-Man just in time for the inauguration.

Susan Boyle: A Future Project for Heidi Klum?
Forget Susan Boyle coming stateside to perform on American Idol or America's Got Talent.
Heidi Klum says Project Runway contestants and the world's most famous YouTube sensation make a pretty good match, too.
"She could be a good challenge," Klum told me last night at a party to launch the back plates she's designed for the LG Rumor2 mobile phones. "Maybe she could be on season seven."
And speaking of people who claim they've never been kissed, Klum's been trying to play matchmaker for her very own Tim Gunn...
Rise 'n' Shine: Mariah Carey Is Not Earth-Day Friendly
• Mariah Carey may be prepping to celebrate her first wedding anniversary with Nick Cannon, but she's probably not switching all her lightbulbs to fluorescents. She was recently named the least green celebrity (which had nothing to do with comparisons to Shrek).
• Miley Cyrus and Heidi Montag have become Twitter buddies—three things we hoped we'd never have to put together in one sentence.
• Those New Moon wolves are (sexy) beasts!
• Project Runway silver fox Tim Gunn hasn't had a date in 26 years, but who's counting?
• Sean Penn likes that President Barack Obama smiles. We think he ought to give it a try as well.
• Dear Jenna Dewan: You're probably not "the worst bride in the world," but, if we were marrying delicious Channing Tatum, we'd have stepped up already. Love, Rise 'n' Shine
Snoop Dogg got wax-ified earlier this week. Check out who has done the same in our Celeb Dummies gallery!
Update
Project Runway Premiere Date Materializes
The countdown to the catwalk has begun.
Lifetime has announced that the long-awaited new season of Project Runway—the sixth overall and the first at its new network home—will begin airing on Aug. 20.
The season, which has been in the can for months, will mark the first time the reality hit is set in Los Angeles and sees the return of newly knocked-up host Heidi Klum, mentor Tim Gunn and judges Michael Kors and Nina Garcia.
Sixteen wannabe couturiers will battle it out both to avoid Klum's "auf Wiedersehen" and to earn praise from a rotating roster of guest judges, among them Christina Aguilera, Eva Longoria Parker, Lindsay Lohan and Rebecca Romijn.

Runway's Catty Kenley Collins Lands on Her Feet
Project Runway's dramas have subsided and, apparently, so have season-five finalist Kenley Collins'.
The designer initially faced a second-degree felony assault charge for allegedly throwing her cat, computer, apples and water at fiancé (at the time) Zak Penley last month. Today, however, the charged was reduced even lower than the misdemeanor that was expected.
Collins pleaded guilty in a Brooklyn courtroom to a count of disorderly conduct, which, Judge Miriam Cyrulnik explained, is considered a violation and not a criminal charge. The reality-TV star was sentenced to a $120 fine and a two-year protection order barring her from having contact with Penley. The incident will remain sealed and not appear on her criminal record.
Ellen DeGeneres Suffers Power Outage
Ellen DeGeneres has been outranked by a politico. But not by too much.
The openly gay talk-show queen was last year's No. 1 on Out magazine's Power 50 list, but this time around she's slipped to No. 2. Instead, U.S. Rep. Barney Frank has been crowned this year's queen king because of the political clout he now carries in our nation's Democratic-heavy capital.
DeGeneres isn't the only Hollywood hotshot to make the third annual list. Read on to find out more boldfaced names deemed worthy of a ranking.

Project Runway Finally Sews Up TV Return
One day you're in, the next you're out. Luckily for Lifetime, it works the other way around, too.
After far too many months of empty DVRs for the Project Runway-watching faithful, the battling parties holding up the return of the hit reality series have finally found a way to make it work.
"NBC Universal, the Weinstein Company and Lifetime have resolved their disputes," reads a statement from NBC Universal.
"The Weinstein Company will pay NBCU for the right to move Project Runway to Lifetime. All of the parties are pleased with the outcome."
None more so than the sartorial-loving viewers who have been deprived of Runway for nigh on six months—an eternity in both the fashion and television worlds.
The already-completed Los Angeles-set sixth season, featuring stars Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn, will begin airing this summer.
The deal guarantees that Project Runway will remain on Lifetime for the next five years and paves the way for the show's spinoff series, Models of the Runway, to begin airing as well.
Runway's Kenley Denies Catfight, Pounces on Misdemeanor
Something that apparently bears repeating: A cat is not a weapon.
And while Project Runway villain Kenley Collins denied at a hearing yesterday that she offensively hurled a feline at her boyfriend during an arrest-yielding fight earlier this month, she did confess that the altercation got a tad...frisky.
During the hearing in Brooklyn Criminal Court Wednesday, the retro designer, who originally faced second-degree assault for allegedly throwing not only her cat but a laptop, water and a few apples at her sleeping ex-boyfriend's face, said she "gently" placed the pet on a bed where her former flame was laying, but denied that it was in any way a violent maneuver.
Project Runway's Catty Kenley Fitted for Handcuffs
Talk about your feisty fashionistas.
Kenley Collins, the talented yet whiny designer whom Project Runway fans loved to loathe, spent Tuesday night in a New York jail after allegedly attacking her former fiancé with her cat.
The 26-year-old was released this morning after being booked on suspicion of assault, menacing, harassment and criminal possession of a weapon, according to the police report.
Per the legal documents, Collins woke up live-in ex Zak Penley at about 7 a.m. Tuesday by throwing their cat at his face. When he tried to leave the room, she slammed the bedroom door on his head.
Collins then, per the report, hoisted Penley's laptop in the air and shouted, "I'll do it!" before hurling it at him. After tossing a bushel of apples and a glass of water in his put-upon punim, she then hissed, "You're lucky, it could have been worse."
