Here's hoping David Duchovny has found the proper help for what ails him.

The Californication star has checked out of the facility where he was undergoing treatment for a sex addiction, according to the actor's lawyer, Stanton "Larry" Stein.

"David is out of rehab and about to start a new movie," Stein said in a statement Monday. "He successfully completed his treatment."

Duchovny revealed Aug. 28 that he was voluntarily seeking help.

"I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family," he said at the time.

His wife of more than 11 years, Téa Leoni, opted out of a scheduled appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival less than a week later.

Amy Winehouse’s father, Mitch, is taking the blame (or is it the credit?) for his daughter’s less-than-happy music, saying the troubled singer channeled her rage about his marriage-ending affair into her songs.

But he stopped short of taking responsibility for Winehouse’s drug problems: "It is easy for me to say it is my fault, and that had I been a better parent this would not have happened. But who knows whether it would or not?"

You’re right, Mitch. It’s hard to know whether a confidence-shattering affair that splits your family apart during your daughter’s most impressionable years could possibly have influenced her to seek solace in those all-understanding drugs.

Though, it's nice of you to share the family's dirty laundry with the world.

In case you have a smidgen of a thought that you might be to blame, you can always take solace in the fact that, in addition to a drug problem, you might also be responsible for her lovely eyebrow arch.

Lindsay's getting pulled back into the club scene, and this time, it may not even be her fault.

According to Us Weekly, the actress is committed to hosting a New Year's Eve bash at LAX in Las Vegas.

“Lindsay doesn’t necessarily want to host, but she’s contractually obligated,” says the mag's source.

Apparently, this will make up for the 21st-birthday bash she had to scrap at Pure (owned by the same management company) during her summer of double DUIs.

“She already took the money from the birthday gig and can’t afford to pay them back.”

Linds, take out a loan or hit up your new boy-toy Riley Giles. Do whatever you have to do to pay back these Sin City sharks. But stay out of the clubs!

After several tango sessions for her new flick, Dare to Love Me, Lindsay took some time to herself yesterday to hit the Grove—greeting friends, getting food and, most important, shopping.

Can ya blame her? The girl has been in rehab for a good part of the summer. Sure, she stocked up there as well, but there's nothing like getting reacquainted with your old stomping grounds.

Besides, we'd rather see Linds cutting loose here than at some nightclub. Keep it up, girl!

Like any alpha dog making a postrehab comeback, Lindsay is marking her territory all over Los Angeles. So, to all those who filled in for Linds during her sabbatical, it's time to step off. 

First, she encroaches on Britney's favorite dance spot—at least when Brit manages to show up—Millennium Dance Studios to practice the tango for Dare to Love Me.

Then it was off to Ken Paves' salon to freshen up those tired blond extensions and send Jessica Simpson a message—"Ken's my hair man, now!" 

So, who's next on LiLo's hit list? Might we see her at Les Deux squashing both Team Heidi and Team Lauren or having Katie Holmes banned from the Barneys shoe department?!

Is it us, or does Lindsay Lohan's new fella Riley Giles (seen here rocking his Wu Wear) remind you of a young backup dancer we met not too long ago, rolling around in the grass and lighting the Marlboro Lights of a single, childless pop star named Britney Spears?

Just picture it all rolling out before us: Lindsay, presenting his debut hip-hop performance on a third-rate awards show, the pregnancies, the bare feet, the divorce…ah, young love.

And true to K-Fed form, Giles comes with some nice baggage! Like a blabbermouth former fiancée he ditched one week before landing Linds, according to In Touch.

Little Miss Scorned, Bree Tierney, tells the National Enquirer, "We lived together for three years and planned on being together forever. But when he finally confessed to me that he had sex with Lindsay in one of the stairwells at Cirque—that was it, we were done."

The stairwell, Lindsay? Sure, they say traumatic experiences in confined spaces bring people closer together, but still…

The Sun is reporting that Lindsay Lohan has squandered more than $7 million—the headline reads, "Linds bLohs her fortune." (Isn't that just the most clever?)

To recoup the cost of her fete-frolicking lifestyle, LiLo is reportedly putting her pads in both L.A. and NYC, selling postrehab interviews to the tabs and rushing back to making movies this very week. 

Plus, a source on the scene has told E! Online's Ted Casablanca that Linds has been running around Utah in full camouflage gear—to cut clothing costs, perhaps?

Just last week, employees at Mary Jane's in Utah told E! Online that Linds admitted to being on a budget. Of course, this "budget" allowed her to drop $900 at the boutique (and apparently not just at an army surplus store), so we're guessing things weren't that dire.

Still, alcohol, drugs, hotel living, rehab, shopping and just being an all-around diva can be a serious financial drain. Let's break it down (using the Sun's numbers as a point of discussion): 

A single bottle of Cristal: $550

Indefinite stay at the Chateau Marmont: $450,000 plus

24-hour chauffeur service (not always used): $500,000

Stint at rehab: $137,000

Being everyone's favorite paparazzi darling: Priceless

Lindsay speaks! And speaks and speaks...

It's sort of hard to tell from these weekly tab covers (did they really relegate LiLo to corner boxes or just run out of time to switch covers?) but Lindsay has lots to say following her rehab release. 

Without further ado, we present the Lohan Sobriety Junket:

To OK! magazine:

• About her immediate plans: "To focus on my sobriety! I'm staying in Utah until it's time to shoot Dare to Love Me, and then I plan on returning to Utah so I can stay focused and avoid other distractions."
• "It was a sobering experience," she says of her treatment. Um, we should hope so.
• "Absolutely not—never," is her answer on the possibility she'd quit acting. "My talent is a gift, and I'm going to use it in the right ways."

And, of course, what she most wants the world to know about her at the moment:

"I'm grateful, and my heart is in the right place."

The right place...meaning OK! magazine?

Is Lindsay Lohan's dad getting remarried?

That's the rumor, after paparazzi pics showed her daddy at a Zales jewelry store in Utah, ring shopping with a hot blonde on his arm.

"No, no, no," Michael told Planet Gossip Show cohost Tina Dirmann. "Marriage is an institution, and I am not ready to be institutionalized. I am, in fact, tone-deaf to wedding bells!"

The real story, Michael says, is that he and his new girlfriend Erin were shopping for a ring for Lindsay.

Lock up your sons and daughters (and the liquor cabinet). Lindsay has left the rehab center in Utah but will continue on an outpatient basis at Cirque-affiliated facilities, presumably either in L.A. or NYC.

Sources say she's expected in Los Angeles on Oct. 15 to begin shooting on a new movie, coincidentally titled Dare to Love Me. 

Linds, we beg you, take a little more time off. Work will be there when you get back. Just focus on the healing process.
