Kristen Bell and Jane Lynch Will Return to Party Down
Ain't no party like a Party Down party!
Kristen Bell knows it. So does Jane Lynch. Which is why, even though they're kind of a big deal now (news flash: K.Bell on the big screen and J.Lynch on Fox's Glee), we can tell you exclusively that both boldass blondes will be coming back to Starz's thoroughly entertaining comedy Party Down.
Turns out Kristen is going to be canoodling with Party Down's leading man, Adam Scott, which begs the question: What about his first-season flame Casey, aka Lizzy Caplan of True Blood? And does this mean Kristen is sticking around for good?
We infiltrated the Party Down set for exclusive scoop on the new season...
Megan Mullally Ready to Party Down
As if we weren't already counting the months until Party Down's return to our small screens, now there is one more reason to long for it. Funnylady Megan Mullally is joining the cast of the Starz show, which is tentatively slated to come back for season two in April 2010.
The Emmy-winning Will & Grace star will play Lydia Dunfree, a middle-aged mom who moves from a small town to Hollywood in hopes of her 13-year-old daughter Escapade (yes, her name is Escapade) making it big as an actress.

Who Could Replace Jane Lynch on Party Down?
As we have previously reported, Jane Lynch will not be back as Constance Carmell on Starz's Party Down next season. When we talked about that sad news with costar Ryan Hansen last month, he told us his reaction to the news: "Kill me now. I love Jane Lynch so much."
We fans have had just about the same reaction, but after our grieving is over, the show must go on.
When Lynch departed Party Down late in the first season to fulfill her obligations to Fox's Glee, her place in the show was picked up by Jennifer Coolidge, who played Constance's delightfully daffy roommate, Bobbie St. Brown. Sources tell us that Jennifer's guest gig was "probably a one-time thing" although you "never know."
So how will the show cope with Jane's absence in season two? We've got the scoop on producers' plans. Here's what we know about possible replacement:

Another Veronica Mars alum hits Party Down in the season finale, and we have the exclusive first look.
Kristen Bell plays Uda Bengt, the über-serious leader of Valhalla Catering. She's on a mission of catering perfection, and wouldn't mind getting Ron (Ken Marino) fired if he so much as steps one toe out of line.
Here's an exclusive sneak peek at the very scary Uda throwing orders at the Party Down crew while they double cater a wedding ceremony, which George Takei happens to be a guest at.
Also, watch Ron crumble into drunken oblivion at the thought of losing Super Crackers in the additional clip below. Since Party Down has been renewed for a second season, there may be hope for him yet.
