Kate Gosselin apparently figured she could handle one evening in Jon's company.

Instead of demanding that her estranged hubby leave their home immediately following their twin daughters' ninth birthday party this evening, she relented and let him stay until the kids' bedtime, according to the man himself.

"We're trying to be cordial for Mady and Cara," he said during a break in the festivities.

Joking that the party "could be World War III," Jon had complained yesterday that Kate was trying to manipulate their custody agreement to shorten his time with the girls, but he seemed in better spirits today after picking the twins up from the school bus stop and joining them for dinner.

Lamar Odom is opting for a quieter single-life send-off than was previously planned.

Instead of a wild night at Les Deux, he and his buddies will be confining his bachelor party to a dinner at STK in West Hollywood.

"I am extremely thankful  to Joe Francis and Rob Kardashian, for agreeing to host my bachelor party this evening at Hollywood hot spot Les Deux," Odom said in a statement released by Francis' reps.

"I regret, I will have to cancel this event because I have now decided to have a private dinner with my teammates, a few close friends and of course Joe Francis and Rob Kardashian."

Of course.

He and Khloé Kardashian are planning to tie the knot Sunday afternoon in front of family, friends and assorted Lakers.

Castmembers past and present gathered on the show's New York set today in honor of the procedural's upcoming 20th season, which will tie it with Gunsmoke as the longest-running drama in TV history.

Sadly, Jerry Orbach didn't live to see his show tie a record (nor to see that plenty of people—in our office, at least—stopped watching after he left).

Years from now, Kendra Wilkinson's son is going to be looking at pictures from his mom's baby shower and thinking one thing.

Why couldn't they have waited until I was all grown up to get this group together?

Former roomies Bridget Marquardt and Holly Madison and Hugh Hefner and his current trio of gal-pals were among those who gathered at a shower Wednesday to celebrate the impending birth of Kendra's first child with hubby Hank Baskett.

The over-the-moon duo are expecting a boy this Christmas.

Guests at the "pickles and ice cream/Candyland"-themed shower munched on treats that included cupcakes baked by BunnyBridget herself—with the help of her live-in boyfriend, Nick Carpenter.

"Just got done baking, frosting and decorating a ton of mini cupcakes for Kendra's shower tomorrow...It's been a busy day. I'm exhausted," Marquardt wrote on Twitter yesterday.

Madison, meanwhile, twittered during the party that she was "wearing a sympathy pack made of balloons."

Aw...

Big weekend for Jon Gosselin.

First, his sit-down with Good Morning America, then his highly anticipated pool party at Wet Republic at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

The reality dad turned eligible bachelor left ladylove Hailey Glassman behind, opting instead to bring his mother, Pamela Gosselin Castello, along to the event.

"Glad to be at MGM," Gosselin told reporters as he made his way to a private poolside bungalow, taking advantage of ample photo ops with bikini-clad girls.

Dave & Buster's. Sounds like a place your average girl next door would frequent for food, drinks and good cheer.

And that's exactly what Kendra Wilkinson got by holding her dream rehearsal dinner at the family-friendly restaurant-arcade in Arcadia, Calif.

The theme of which was "Keepin' It Real," according to Kendra executive producer Kevin Burns.

"She wants the wedding to be gorgeous and glamorous, a fairytale-princess wedding," he said. But she and her NFL-player fiancé Hank Baskett wanted the rehearsal to be about "who they are and where they come from."

Guests included Kendra's bridal party—minus Holly Madison, who will finally be joining the festivities as a bridesmaid tomorrow night—and her mom, brother and grandma (who loved those arcade games!), and Hank's parents and brother Randy, who will serve as best man.

"We all got to do it together, and it included family, grandmas and moms. Everyone was included," bridesmaid and ex-roomie Bridget Marquardt said, when asked what made this low-key affair more special than your average Hollywood swankfest.

But it isn't just the Million Dollar Midway and famous wings that make it one of the bride's favorite places.

Jamie Foxx doesn't want to fly solo when it comes to legal fees.

The Oscar winner has filed a cross-complaint against the owners of a Hollywood club to recoup the cash he's spent fighting a lawsuit brought by a bartender who slipped and fell at an event in 2007 following one of Foxx's shows for his Unpredictable tour.

Foxx's suit states that China Grill Management, Social Hollywood and LA Ice Art were contracted to provide a safe environment for the Belvedere Vodka-hosted party and "hold harmless" someone in Foxx's position for any "damages to person or property" that may have occurred.

Kiefer Sutherland may have mistaken himself for Jack Bauer, but to Los Angeles authorities, he's still Kiefer Sutherland, two-time DUI offender.

If the actor is slapped with an assault charge for allegedly head-butting designer Jack McCollough early Tuesday at a Met Costume Institute Gala afterparty in Manhattan, it could constitute a violation of his probation and possibly lead to more jail time.

After pleading no contest to driving under the influence on Oct. 9, 2007, Sutherland spent 48 days behind bars (he was already on the probationary hook for a previous DUI bust) and was sentenced to another 60 months' probation—which, obviously, is not up yet.

"We would have to decide whether or not file a probation violation and then he could potentially face the remainder of the time left on the count to which he entered his original plea," Los Angeles City Attorney's Office spokesman Frank Mateljan tells E! News.

"He could go back to jail, but that would be the maximum and a lot of it is case-specific."

Former President Bill Clinton may not have been looking as healthy as he did a few years ago, but Mariska Hargitay was looking fabulously fit as a fiddle last night at the Food Bank for New York City's Sixth Annual Can-Do Awards at Pier 60 in New York City.

The Emmy-winning Law & Order: SVU star was in and out of the hospital with a collapsed lung for the past few months, even having to sit out a few episodes of her NBC drama.

"Sooooo much better," the beauty exclusively told E! News when asked how she was doing. "I've turned the corner and I'm feeling great. Really great."

Hargitay—dressed in a sleek, one-shouldered LBD and metallic trench coat—appeared to be having a ball as she yukked it up with her tablemates, including Jimmy Fallon, Emeril Lagasse, Josh Charles and Mario Batali.

It was only during the live auction that the mood changed a bit…

Who knew Zac Efron was one of us? That is, a lover of an old-fashioned celebrity meltdown!

But apparently Efron is, at least judging by his personal note to gossip blogger Perez Hilton.

Hilton celebrated his 31st birthday at the Viper Room in Hollywood on Saturday night and although Efron couldn't make it to the party, he did send the Gossip Gangster a gift and card that read: 

"Perez, Happy Birthday, May this year bring you lots of love, luck, and celebrity meltdowns. Zac."
