It seems like every time a celebrity couple calls it quits, we hear the same boring requisite response that, while things may not have worked out, they're still going to be lifelong pals.

Whatever.

That's why it's so refreshing when a guy like Kid Rock comes along and tells it like it is. During an appearance on today's Ellen DeGeneres Show, he talks about his current relationship with his married-six-months-before-getting-divorced ex, Pamela Anderson.

After showing Kid a clip of his former missus doing a little striptease on the show a couple weeks ago, Ellen proceeds to ask if he and Pam are still tight.

"Not really," the singer says. "If I saw her somewhere I'd say hi, but I try not to go in the same circles. I touched stove, stove was hot, I think I not touch stove anymore." 

Sounds like it's true what they say: If you want an honest answer, simply ask a Kid.

Not Pamela Anderson.

Consistency has a long, funny name: SpongeBob SquarePants.

The Nickelodeon cartoon was its usual dominant self in the ratings last week, placing 20 telecasts—yes, 20—among cable's top 50 most watched programs.

The highest-rated episode was a Thursday-morning one that averaged 3.9 million, or more viewers than this summer's highest-rated Project Runway yet (3.3 million).

The "least"-watched top 50 episode was a Friday-afternoon telecast that averaged 3.2 million, or more viewers than the strong-premiering Lifetime movie Fab Five: The Texas Cheerleader Scandal (3 million).

Pamela Anderson is taking aim at the motley collection of rumors surrounding her relationship with ex-husband Tommy Lee.

Speaking with Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show Wednesday morning, the star of E!'s Pam: Girl on the Loose insists that, while the two do reside under the same roof, they are not romantically involved.

She's done more for the red, white and blue bikini than possibly any other woman—it seems only right that Pamela Anderson finally be rewarded.

The Canadian-born former Baywatcher has confirmed she's officially been made a U.S. citizen, and has wasted no time in tending to her civic duty.

For her first order of business as a nonalien, the 40-year-old animal lover went to bat for her literal pet project, PETA, joining the organization's veep at Saturday's White House Correspondents' Dinner.

"Being a citizen excites me not just because I can vote, but because I can crack the whip on Capitol Hill to defend animals," Anderson said last week.

As part of her D.C. trip, the buxom blonde also hand-delivered a PETA science report to the Department of Health and Human Services, condemning the government for being so far behind European nations in failing to use modern technology and nonanimal test methods in lieu of outdated animal tests.

Patriotism never looked so good.

Pamela Anderson never has been one to cover up.

The pinup and former Baywatch star will star in a new series for E! about her life, love-wise and other, the network announced Monday.

Pamela is set for a summer debut. Billed not as a reality series but as a "docu-style series," the show is being produced by the makers of the acclaimed feature documentaries The Eyes of Tammy Faye and Inside Deep Throat.

"Pamela will be an artistically rich and visually stunning series," executive producer Randy Barbato said in a statement. "The series will offer an unprecedented look inside the life of one of today's most iconic superstars in the style of a uniquely shot documentary film."

While the series, as announced, promises to let viewers meet "the real woman behind the famous breasts," it will draw a big line, and will not feature her and ex-husband Tommy Lee's two children.

Certainly, Anderson's own life is nothing if not rife with material.

Late last Saturday night, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported the 40-year-old helped celebrate Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner's 82nd birthday by doing a dance for him while wearing a pair of high heels—and nothing else.

Anderson's career was launched in Playboy in 1989, when she landed the first of her record 12 covers. Her subsequent Hollywood run has seen her star in Home Improvement, V.I.P. and, most notably to beach-deprived viewers the world over, Baywatch.

With the launch of Pamela, Anderson will match Lee, the first of her three former husbands, in the summer job department.

Last week, it was announced that Lee will costar with Chris "Ludacris" Bridges in a new summertime competition series for Discovery's eco-minded Planet Green network.
