Jessica to Ashlee: Keep Procreating, Please!
Jessica Simpson talked about having babies this weekend. Well, her sister, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, having babies, that is.
"I want her to have another baby," Jessica said at Ash's 25th birthday celebration on Saturday at the Wet Republic pool in Las Vegas. "I want another nephew or a niece."
The Melrose Place star, along with her big sister, jetted into Sin City on Saturday morning with family and friends, including hubby Pete Wentz and parents Tina and Joe.
Holding court in a private bungalow, Ash was surprised with a three-tiered cake topped with cupcakes.
Not sure if this has anything to do with the not-dating-anyone Jessica, but...

Cruise, Reynolds and Gyllenhaal: Hot for Coldplay

The stars were shining at Coldplay's Saturday-night concert at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.
Spotted backstage coming and going throughout the show and at the VIP afterparty were Tom Cruise, Ryan Reynolds, Jake Gyllenhaal, Ginnifer Goodwin and, of course, frontman Chris Martin's wife Gwyneth Paltrow.
Meanwhile, director Jon Favreau hosted the Iron Man sequel wrap party last night for about 400 people at new celeb hot spot Playhouse in Hollywood.
Favreau spent most of the night playing DJ. No surprise, but "he played a ton of Michael Jackson," according to one partygoer.
The flick's cast wasn't spotted at the bash, but that's no biggie. Big wrap parties are more for the crew than the stars.
And remember last week how I told you that it appears Vanessa Minnillo is getting along just fine since her split from Nick Lachey? Well, Mr. Lachey is doing OK, too. He was seen yesterday afternoon hanging with a group of four girls and two guys at the Water Club's pool in Atlantic City.
A source said, "Nick was very friendly and left a nice big tip."

Vanessa Minnillo: Who's Nick?

Vanessa Minnillo is having no problem moving on from Nick Lachey.
Ms. Minnillo was whoopin' it up last night with some friends at celebrity restaurant STK Los Angeles. She was one hungry lady, enjoying a 16 oz. NY strip, a mac and cheese, plus some sweet corn pudding.
She washed it all down and then some with chardonnay and shots of Patrón. Showing off her bod in a short pink and purple dress, "She was definitely looking to have fun," a source said.
Lachey and the former MTV VJ split up late last month, after about three years together.
Minnillo, I'm told, took off after about three hours, around midnight, "and went out clubbing with her friends."
Minnillo wasn't the only pretty starlet in the eatery to be enjoying mucho drinks…
Nick Lachey vs. The Hills: The Reality Battle at MTV

You'd think after starring alongside his now ex-wife, Jessica Simpson, in Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica, Nick Lachey would have had it with reality television.
But this time, he's not showcasing his private life.
Lachey is the producer and creator behind Taking the Stage, a 10-episode series on MTV (premiering March 19) that follows five students at Cincinnati's School for the Creative and Performing Arts. Lachey, along with Sarah Jessica Parker and Carmen Electra, are among the Fame-like school's former students.
"I saw these shows that MTV does, whether it is Laguna Beach or The Hills and they're very, very glossy and glamorous—rich kids in southern California," Lachey tells me. "I thought, 'That's not really representative of the entire country.' "
Sighting: Nick Lachey Plays Pool Boy
Nick Lachey may not get much attention these days, but have a gander at him pooling around in Mexico.
Lachey spent this weekend at the LG Villa in Cabo San Lucas. Yes, girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo was there, as were six of their friends.
You're lookin' pretty good, Mr. Lachey. Although we do advise that you stay away from the Tony Romo-like poses.
Alicia Keys Comes Alive

Britney Spears was at Alicia Keys' concert last night at L.A.’s Staples Center. And so were Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo.
The show rocked. Man, has Ms. Keys grown into one fantastic jaw-dropping performer. Her voice filled that entire ginormous arena and then some.
During her show, Keys urged everyone to take out their cellphones and text the word Alive to the number 90999 to donate just $5 to help fight HIV/AIDS in Africa through the Keep a Child Alive organization. I did.
I sure hope Britney, Nick and Vanessa did, too.
