Sex Scandal Comes to Parks and Recreation
Boom chicka bow wow!
That's the sound of sex—and sexiness—making its way into the tiny town of Pawnee, Ind., and the folks of Parks and Recreation are giving us the spiciest Christmas gift ever.
At Saturday night's Paley Center P-Rex celebration, the cast and crew gave us some juicy scoop on what's ahead on the comedy that just keeps getting funnier, including that Amy Poehler's adorably awkward Leslie Knope would be involved in a salacious (and hilarious) sex scandal.
Amy also teased that hubby Will Arnett might soon be joining her on the small screen: "I hope so, I think you will," she said with that signature Amy grin we know and love. We hope so, too!
Here's what you P-Rex fans need to know:
NBC Picks Up Community, Parks & Recreation and Mercy
Good news, Thursday-night comedy fans!
NBC has just announced that Joel McHale's Community, Amy Poehler's Parks and Recreation, and Wednesday-night medical-drama Mercy have been picked up for full seasons. The network ordered the "back nine" episodes for all three series, bringing their episode totals to 22 each.
Mercy pulls about 8 million viewers a week overall, Community leads off NBC's legendary Thursday-night comedy block with an average of 6 million viewers a week, and Parks and Recreation brings in about 5 million viewers.
We're delighted for the casts and crews of all these series, but especially the comedies, and especially Community, which stars our very own The Soup host. We caught up with the cast recently, and they spilled about what happens on set when the cameras are off and what's to come onscreen...
Sneak Peeks: See What NBC's New Mercy Is All About
Are you ready for NBC's next new show? Mercy premieres tomorrow night at 8, and the show, starring Taylor Schilling, James Tupper and Michelle Trachtenberg, follows the adventures of three nurses working in a big-city hospital. Can Taylor Schilling's charm set it apart from from other medical dramas? Watch these three sneak peeks and decide for yourself!
2009 Fall TV Preview: We Love Community, and You Will Too
As lovable TV jerks go, the men of NBC definitely take the cake.
Over the past few TV seasons, the programmers at the Peacock net have given us the adorably inept and hopelessly offensive Michael Scott (Steve Carell), conservative blowhard Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) and now...Jeff. (Wait, who?)
OK, if you haven't heard yet, Joel McHale heads up NBC's new fall hit Community. Yes, we just called it a hit even though it hasn't premiered yet. But if you combine the show's laugh-out-loud quality with a 9:30 p.m. Thursday-night time slot and The Office as a lead-in, that's got to be a winner, right?
Community is fun and funny with supersmart writing (you'll love the Breakfast Club scene), a gorgeous cast with loads of chemistry, and it really is the perfect addition to your existing plans to spend Thursday nights with P-Rex, Dunder Mifflin and TJS.
Want to know why you should give Community a fair shot? Stick around and see what this city-college comedy has to offer...
Did You Hear the One About The Office's Gossip-Filled Premiere?
Kevin's a robot? Angela's a gold digger?
Uh-oh. Someone is spreading some dirty rumors around Dunder Mifflin in the season-six premiere. And while dirty might be too strong of a word, Michael Scott (Steve Carell) is certainly doing his darndest to stir up some drama around the workplace.
Wait a second, did Michael's ridiculous antics just "out" Jim and Pam's baby-to-be?!
Don't miss The Office premiere, Thursday, Sept. 17 at 9 p.m. on NBC.
True Blood Star Comes to Office Wedding!
Are those darned anti-vampire groups attempting to recruit our favorite Pennsylvania paper suppliers?
Not quite, but Anna Camp, the sexy and scandalous reverend's wife from True Blood is heading to Scranton to be a part of TV's most anticipated wedding in recent years.
What exactly brings anti-vamp Sarah Newlin out of Bon Temps and into our Thursday night lineup?
(Hint: She's part of Jenna Fischer's bridal party.)

NBC's Fall Premieres: Make Room for a Lotta Leno
We've got the fall premiere dates for 30 Rock, The Office and Law & Order: SVU below.
When you see NBC's emaciated show list, try not to blame Jay Leno personally for eating up all the airtime. It's hard to look at the pin-thin NBC lineup and not want to condemn Leno as a destroyer of (scripted) worlds, but obviously he's just a good soldier serving in the Peacock's army.
The Office: Best of Jim & Dwight's Pranks
Question: What does it take to pull off some of the greatest pranks of all time on one Dwight K. Schrute (Rainn Wilson)?
Let's see...
Mustard-colored shirt, glasses and a calculator watch for under $11? Check.
Brushing up on all things bears, beets and Battlestar Galactica? Check.
Having the hookup with the vending machine guy? Check.
Sending faxes to Dwight? From himself? From the future? Check.
Jim Halpert (John Krasinski) has gone above and beyond to mastermind the tricks he's played on Dwight over the past five seasons. And NBC must have read our minds because just as we started our tedious search around YouTube for the best Dwim/Jwight clips, it put together a list of its own.
Stupid Dwight Tricks: The Office's Greatest Dwight-isms of All Time
Over the past five seasons we have learned a great deal about beets, Battlestar Galactica and mustard-colored, short-sleeved button-up shirts—more than we ever really thought we could, and more than can possibly be natural—and we owe all that newfound wisdom to one man and one man alone: Dwight K. Schrute.
(The K. stands for Kurt—just in case you'd forgotten.)
Since NBC compiled its five favorite Dwight-isms, as we here at Team WWK like to call them, we thought we'd pass them along for your enjoyment. Plus, we have months and months to fill until the new season, so why not?
In fact, we have so many top Schrute moments in our heads, we're giving you the chance to sound off on the best stuff that didn't make the cut. So check out NBC's Dwight countdown, then let us know what you think in the poll...

Update, 12:21 p.m.: NBC has officially canceled Life.

What was announced? Where are Chuck and Life? Here's the news on NBC's pilot pickups and renewals:
