Rihanna Sings Threesome, Avoids Going Naked on GMA

Rihanna almost brought a little too much to her TV concert comeback on Good Morning America.

Two days after performing solo at the American Music Awards, Rihanna made her much-anticipated way to the morning show's outdoor stage in NYC this morning to sing a whopping three tunes: "Wait Your Turn," "Russian Roulette," and fan (and remix) favorite "Umbrella."

But what about that slight lag between new besties Diane Sawyer and Robin Roberts announcing Rihanna and the singer's appearance on the stage?

Two words: wardrobe malfunction.

"I'm a little too fat right now, my dress…the zip busted in the back," the svelte-as-always Rihanna explained. "They're like, 'A minute to live,' I'm like, 'Oh my god!' They wanted to stitch it up, but I couldn't."

But it wasn't all body talk. After performing her new single, "Wait Your Turn," the superstar paid her now usual lip service to the oh-so-perfect timing of her new album, Rated R.

"It came very natural, only because it was my place of peace, being in the studio, just venting," she said of the post-Chris Brown-attack process of recording the album.

"It was the one place where I didn't feel judged or criticized, I just wanted to sit and make great music. Every emotion that I was going through at the time throughout making the record went into that album, and you can hear it in the songs."

The album, a surefire No. 1 if ever there was one, was released yesterday.

Timbaland Denies Dumping Chris Brown

Timbaland says he's got nothing but love for Chris Brown, despite the fact that Brown is now an ex-contributor to the MC's latest album.

"The decision was a mutual decision since both artists were at the time working on their solo projects," a rep for Timbaland tells E! News in response to a TMZ report that Brown's vocal on "The One I Love" was dropped due to all the "drama" in his life.

"Chris is a friend to us," the rep says.

Neither version is particularly far-fetched, but that's the official word.

Another rapper on the track, D.O.E., told TMZ that the tune was originally titled "Maniac," but was changed to "The One I Love" because of Brown's involvement.

Timbaland's latest solo effort, Shock Value II, is due out Dec. 8. Brown's new album, Graffiti, drops the same day.

Modern Family: Is Shakira Getting In On the Act?

Shakira is no actress, but maybe it's time for her to become one.

She and her hips are wanted over at ABC's new hit comedy Modern Family.

"I'm trying to convince her to act," M.F. star and resident MILF Sofia Vergara told me at the American Music Awards. "Hopefully, she'll say yes."

Vergara liked our suggestion that...

Adam Lambert: For Your Entertainment—or His?

Adam Lambert Matt Sayles/AP Photo

Adam Lambert is fully embracing his new solo career—as well as his keyboard player, too.

The American Idol runner-up gave the final performance at the 2009 American Music Awards, and he delivered much of what earlier outings by Janet Jackson, Carrie Underwood, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Lady Gaga and others had: lots of back-up dancers, a stumble or two and just a bit of raunchiness.

OK, in Lambert's case, there was more than a bit of racy material as he mixed together a so-so song, some S&M imagery and a bit of simulated sex. Oh, and that juicy midsong kiss, too.

For your entertainment, of course. Was it enough to make his performance the best of the evening?

Inside Janet Jackson's AMA "Make Me" Run-Through

Janet Jackson may be about to answer the musical question, "What Have You Done for Me Lately?" A source who caught Jackson rehearsing Friday for her upcoming American Music Awards performance says the "Nasty" singer appears poised for a major comeback.

"Even though Janet was marking most of the dance moves today, the choreography is obviously very complicated, and she knew it all by heart," says the eyewitness. "She looked really strong and at ease onstage."

The singer is expected to perform her new song, "Make Me," to kick off Sunday's AMAs. We're guessing some of her routine may be cribbed from her new video for the song (see above), which features a vintage Janet vibe, including space-age shoulder pads and countless hat-tips to brother Michael.

Unleashed Fangirls Derail Justin Bieber Appearance

Justin Bieber Craig Barritt/Getty Images

R.Pattz wasn't there, so why did a bunch of screaming fangirls nearly cause a riot at a Long Island mall?

They were waiting for Justin Bieber, of course!

One girl ended up at the hospital and a member of Bieber's entourage was arrested after more than 1,000 young and rowdy fans whipped themselves into a frenzy awaiting the arrival of the the 15-year-old Canadian pop star, who ended up steering clear of the mall altogether because of the melee.

"They are not allowing me to come into the mall. if you dont leave I and my fans will be arrested as the police just told us," Bieber twittered this evening, about an hour after writing, "On my way to Roosevelt Field Mall in Long Island, NY to sign and meet fans!! im pumped. see u there."

Jennifer Lopez Really, Really Loves Her Louboutins

Jennifer Lopez's newest single, "Louboutins," has conveniently been leaked on the Internet just days before she's scheduled to perform it on this Sunday's American Music Awards—perhaps in an attempt to give viewers at home ample warning?

The song finds J.Lo expressing frustration over a lover who clearly isn't giving 100 percent of himself to the relationship. Why, then, is she taking it out on us?

Case in point: The chorus contains nothing more than the line "I'm throwing on my Louboutins," repeated not once, not twice, but eight times. Multiply that by the number of times the chorus is recited (four) and we get 32 reminders of the particular brand of designer footwear Jenny from the Block is going to use to walk out on her man.

The track begins with the singer insisting, "I'm taking back my love." Personally, we wish we could take back the last three minutes and 49 seconds.

American Dad! Puts On My Morning Jacket

This is a threat not even the CIA can stop.

What are we talking about? The addictively angelic vocal cords of My Morning Jacket's Jim James, of course.

The singer gains an animated fan when government agent Stan Smith becomes obsessed with James' band on an episode of Seth MacFarlane's American Dad!, airing Sunday, Nov. 22. And in this exclusive clip, we show you the depths to which one man will go to protect his favorite band.

God help Stan when he finds out James has been moonlighting in the Monsters of Folk.

Jason Segel Gets Really Personal With Fans

We've got your number, Jason Segel. Now if we could just get the image of your naked body out of our brains, we'd be set.

The multitalented How I Met Your Mother star popped up at the show by the Swell Season—the Oscar-winning duo from the film Once—at Los Angeles' Wiltern Theater last night. He came in hopes of charming one (or more!) of the band's fans with a new song he'd written just for the occasion about love, sex and his FX-free penis.

Sample lyric: "Remember when I showed my penis in Forgetting Sarah Marshall/Well, there were no special effects, no no special effects/So if you like what you saw, it's exactly what I'm working with."

We have no idea if the come-on worked, but if it did, we're pretty sure he'll write a song about it.

Life goes on for Derek Hough.

Although he and Playboy model Joanna Krupa were given the boot last night from Dancing With the Stars, it didn't stop stop him from enjoying the rest of the evening.

The 24-year-old professional hoofer hit the Asics record release party for Leona Lewis' new album, Echo, at West Hollywood club Hyde.

Clad in a black leather jacket, Hough showed up at about 11:30 p.m. and hung out and laughed in the club with a couple of guy friends.

Lewis, who performed on DWTS' elimination show despite suffering from a throat infection, arrived just before midnight...

Andrew Lloyd Webber Back in Hospital After Cancer Surgery

Andrew Lloyd Webber Jon Furniss/Getty Images

We're thinking fondly of Andrew Lloyd Webber today as the Phantom of the Opera composer returned to the hospital last night.

A statement on his official website confirms the multiple Tony winner developed an infection following surgery relating to his battle with prostate cancer.

"He has been advised that while the operation was entirely successful, he has developed a postoperative 'chronic infection' which needs immediate treatment," it says. "He still hopes to be back at work in the New Year.

We're hoping he takes it slowly, gently and easy as he recuperates so he can be 100 percent when he goes back to work on the Phantom sequel, Love Never Dies. The curtains are set to rise in London on March 9, 2010, and in New York City on Nov. 11, 2010.
