Lindsay's B-day Goal: Happy, Healthy, Rihanna-y Year

Lindsay Lohan, Samantha Ronson Maciel/X17online.com

Lindsay Lohan's private life has gone through some rather public growing pains over the past few years. And now, newly 22 years of age, the only growing she wants to do in public is of the professional variety.

Speaking to E! News anchor Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show this morning, hours after her prom-themed birthday bash, Lohan discussed her plans for the year ahead which, she said, could be summed up in two words: "focusing and working."

"I just wanna live a happy, healthy year, and continue on the path that I've been on. And, you know, be with the person that I care about, and my family, and I think that's it."

Coldplay It Again, Sam

It's still hard out there for a pimp, but apparently it's not much easier for a saint.

Mötley Crüe's Saints of Los Angeles and Three 6 Mafia's Last 2 Walk were the week's biggest bows, but neither came close to the three albums that pulled a Groundhog Day up top.

Coldplay's Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends held the No. 1 spot for the week ended Sunday, selling another 249,000 copies, per Nielsen SoundScan. Lil Wayne followed at No. 2 with 209,000 copies of Tha Carter III, and the Jonas Brothers-led Camp Rock soundtrack held at No. 3 with 169,000.

BBC Airs Long-Lost Beatles Interview

The Beatles KEYSTONE Canada/ZUMA Press

Here's another footnote for the Beatles anthology.

A 1964 interview with the Fab Four that was only broadcast once has been discovered in a South London garage, where it had been tucked away in one of 64 film canisters for who knows who long.

Beatles historians have determined that the recording came from a sit-down that John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr had with a Scottish television station on April 30, 1964, not long after their historic first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show. The interview was never even heard in the rest of the U.K., let alone anywhere else.

New Kids! New Edition! New Duet!

In what could be the greatest collaboration since Superman and Batman formed the Justice League, the reunited New Kids on the Block have teamed up with the reunited New Edition to save the world—or at least make thirtysomething suburban moms swoon.

"Donnie Wahlberg had this idea for a few months, looking for that one track for all of them," producer Nadir "RedOne" Khawat tells People. "And I think we found it."

The track, "Full Service," was recorded last week and is set to appear on NKOTB's upcoming album.

"It sounds very universal and melodic and has both sides in it: the R&B, which is New Edition, and the pop side for New Kids," adds RedOne, calling the song "very uplifting."

Whaddya think: Is "Full Service" going to lift up the oldsters to the top of charts or over the shark? Comment away...

Visa Appeals Exhausted, Boy George Buries U.S. Tour

Boy George Ash Knotek/Snappers/ZUMA Press

Yes, the U.S. government really did want to hurt him. And yes, the plan apparently worked.

Boy George announced today he has been forced to called off his planned U.S. summer tour, which was to include a song-filled pit stop for his former colleagues at the New York Department of Sanitation, after his appeal for a visa was denied.

"I was really hoping that the issue would be resolved and that some kind soul at the U.S. Visa Office would realize that if the police in the U.K. placed no restrictions on my movements, that should have been good enough for them," George says in a statement.

REO Speedwagon has hitched itself to a cause.

The "Can't Fight This Feeling" rockers have signed on to headline the Ridin' the Storm Out—Floods of 2008 Relief Concert to benefit Iowa flood victims.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from the July 16 concert, which will also feature Little River Band, will go toward relief efforts.

The jamfest will go down at the Prairie Meadows racetrack in Polk County, which is underwriting the entire event and will deliver all funds raised from ticket sales and a silent auction to the Greater Des Moines Community Foundation.

Floods across the Midwest have forced thousands from their homes in the last month, and most of Iowa's counties were deemed disaster areas.

Kristy Lee Cook, American Idol Season 7 FOX

American Idol's most proudly (or maybe just strategically) American finalist has landed herself a record deal.

Maybe she can celebrate with some apple pie.

The recently betrothed Kristy Lee Cook has inked a deal with 19 Recordings/Arista Nashville for a twang-heavy album debut, with her first single, "15 Minutes of Shame," already getting an Aug. 11 release date.

For those who want Bon Jovi dead or alive, a third option has suddenly come into play: free.

Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora and those other three guys that make up the wallpaper band are following in the footsteps of Chris Martin's crew, announcing plans to treat fans to a free concert in New York's Central Park on July 12.

The gig, held in conjunction with Major League Baseball, will be part of the pomp and circumstance surrounding the July 15 All-Star game at Yankee Stadium.

As it is, the Jersey boys are narrowly missing out on a double-header of their own, as they wrap up their current 10-date U.S. tour at Madison Square Garden, with their final two shows set for July 14 and 15.
