Rate-a-Trailer: Mickey Rourke Wrestling Demons
Hollywood loves typecasting, so comebacking professional trainwreck Mickey Rourke seems like a natural to play comebacking professional-wrestler trainwreck Randy "The Ram" Robinson. The Wrestler's anti-hero underdog's prospects looks promising, however, in the hands of director Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream), especially with Evan Rachel Wood and Marisa Tomei rounding out cast.
Rourke has always been a gifted dude, so we're hoping this is the movie that puts him firmly on the road to fulfilling his career's huge early promise in flicks like Diner, Body Heat and Rumblefish. Check out The Wrestler's trailer and let us know in the comments section whether there's an Oscar nom in the Mick's future or if he's gonna get body-slammed by the Academy.
