Most Pregnant Oscars Ever

If the Oscars happen, the Academy may want to consider setting up a maternity ward on the red carpet, because it looks like this could be an Academy Awards baby boom.
I’ve been told that Nicole Kidman is confirmed to present, as is Jessica Alba.
The Oscar-winning Kidman, 40, announced earlier this month she is expecting her and hubby Keith Urban’s first baby. Alba and fiancé Cash Warren released their happy news in mid-December.
Cate Blanchett, 38, has to be there, right? She may not be confirmed as of today, but the expectant Aussie is a double nominee for Best Actress for her royal role in Elizabeth: The Golden Age and Best Supporting Actress as Bob Dylan in I’m Not There. She is reportedly due to give birth in April to her and husband Andrew Upton’s third child.

No word yet on whether Oscar winner Angelina Jolie, the source of much pregnancy speculation at the moment, will be hitting the Kodak Theater for the big night, which is still scheduled for Feb. 24.
And though it's certainly looking like Jennifer Lopez will be a new mommy by the time the red carpet rolls out, wouldn’t it be fab if her first public appearance after giving birth was the Oscars?
Of course, any and all commitments made by celebs to the Academy are contingent upon the status of the ongoing writers' strike. The union has yet to issue a waiver for writers to work on the Oscars. And as always, the main thing is that each of these lovely ladies has a safe, healthy and happy delivery.
But the show must go on...or at least the planning of the show, that is.
