Coming Attractions: Why I Can't Wait for 2008!

Jennifer Lopez, Dolly Parton, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Hudson Paul Fenton/ZUMAPRess.com, Lisa O'Connor/ZUMAPress.com, Brian Ach/WireImage.com, Gregg DeGuire/WireImage.com

The ball is just moments away from being dropped. What does 2008 have in store for us? Plenty. Read on for a list of a few of my favorite upcoming things.

Babies:  The stork is going to be one busy bird. Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Alba, Halle Berry and Nicole Richie will become first-time moms. So will Jamie Lynn Spears, but that whole situation still gives me the willies, so I’m not yet sure I wanna see the latest from the Spears spawning department.

Jennifer Hudson's Debut Album:  We’ve been hearing about this album since the second Ms. Hudson took home her Dreamgirls Oscar in February. But that’s okay. With Clive Davis mentoring her, I’m sure it’s going to be well worth the wait.

The Sex and the City Movie: Carrie and her friends are back! Now, let’s see what we can do about convincing them to return as a television series. My Sunday nights have never been the same since they said goodbye.

Lindsay Lohan's Clean Living:  Her love life may continue to have its ups and downs, but it looks like Ms. Lohan is rockin’ with her recovery. If she stays on course, I still think L.Lo’s got a chance for a major movie comeback.

9 to 5, the Musical:  As you all know by now, I am a mega Dolly Parton fan. I’ve been waiting for this musical adaptation of her hit 1980 movie for, like, forever. Ms. Parton’s written something like 18 songs for the production. It’ll hit Broadway after it debuts in Los Angeles in September.

Madonna's Licorice:  It has been a gazillion years since the Material Mom released her first album. In April, we’re getting a new one, which is reportedly going to be called Licorice. If the accompanying concert tour is anything like her last one, I’m there. If I can dance and sweat again like I did at her concert stop at L.A.’s Staples Center, I will be one happy gay.

The Oprah Factor:  Will she help secure enough votes for Barack Obama to win the White House, or even the Democratic nomination?

More Dancing with the Stars:  I never really watched DWTS, but then I had to last season because I was running a weekly postperformance Q&A with the hunky Cameron Mathison. Now I’m hooked.

More First-Time Mamas:  Who will be the next starlet with a belly bump? Eva Longoria? Katherine Heigl? Rebecca Romijn? Or maybe my E! pal Giuliana Rancic?

Now, I want to hear from you. What are you looking forward to in ’08? Leave your comments below!
