Nanny to Get Some Sex and the City?

Move over, Sarah Jessica Parker! Fran Drescher may be looking to move in on some of your turf.

A source tells me that the former Nanny star, 49, is said to be developing her next project with television impresario and Sex and the City creator Darren Star.

Reps for Drescher and Star aren’t commenting, but it sounds like a perfect fit to me.

In addition to SATC, Star has been behind other hits like Melrose Place and Beverly Hills, 90210. His next project is the upcoming Cashmere Mafia, an ABC series starring Lucy Liu about a group of female excecutives juggling careers and privates lives in New York City.

Drescher most recently starred in the two-season run of Living with Fran, playing a mother of two who falls in love with a man half her age.

For now, I think Star should find a part for Drescher in the Sex and the City movie. Can’t ya just see a hair-pulling, eye-scratching catfight between Kim Cattrall’s Samantha and an equally ballsy sexpot played by Drescher?
