Kicking It at the Details Party

Peter Berg John Shearer/WireImage.com

Thursday night's Details party was literally a bash.

Peter Berg, who directed the Friday Night Lights movie and produces its television series, took a fall at the bash. But before you jump to any drunken conclusions, it wasn't his fault. Berg was among many people who didn't see the very low black box cushioned seats scattered throughout the party, which took place at producer Mary Parent's Brentwood home.

Not only did Berg go falling to the ground, on the way down he kicked guest Jen Gerard in her right leg. When Berg realized what he had done, he suggested Gerard punch or kick him as payback. Even though there was some swelling just below Gerard's knee, she politely declined Berg's offer.

Despite Berg and some other tumblers (I saw a cocktail waiter nearly fall flat on his face), the Emporio Armani party—which celebrated Details' new Mavericks list—was the hot event.

Editor in chief Dan Peres, publisher Chris Mitchell and editors such as Nicole Vecchiarelli hosted a slew of boldfaced names, including Brazilian hottie Rodrigo Santoro, Adam Brody, Matthew Davis, Stavros Niarchos, Justin Kirk, producer Ben Silverman, music executive Charlie Walk, Ian Ziering, Peres' actress wife Sarah Wynter, lovebirds Chris Klein and Ginnifer Goodwin, Kevin Zegers, Molly Sims, Randy Jackson and E!'s very own Ryan Seacrest.
