Exclusive! Ricci's Fur Reversal

Christina Ricci will no longer be wearing fur.

Just last week, I reported that Ricci's biggest fan website got shut down by its owner because  the star had worn reindeer fur on a recent cover of W magazine, a move that landed her on PETA's Worst Dressed list.

Now I'm told Ricci has decided to go fur free. "After being named on the PETA worst dressed list for wearing fur on the cover of W magazine, I have been deluged with angry and disappointed fans," Ricci wrote in an email on Saturday to PETA's Dan Mathews. "I never meant to hurt nor anger anyone with my insensitivity. For what it is worth, I have received the message loud and clear and will not be wearing fur in the future. I apologize for my offensive actions."

A rep for PETA tells me that Ricci's name has been removed from the Worst Dressed list. The animal rights group is also sending her a Christmas basket of "cruelty-free goodies to thank her for her compassionate decision," the rep says.

Hmm...news like that makes me wonder if her fansite will soon be up and running again.
