Paris Just Says No to Britney's Underwear

Britney Spears' recent spat of paparazzi crotch shots is no laughing matter to Paris Hilton—at least not during a televised awards show, that is.

I'm told that funnyguy Jamie Kennedy wanted to do a skit with Hilton onstage at last night's taping of the Action Sports Awards in L.A.—during which he would have pulled out a red thong. “He wanted to say he had found Britney's panties,” a source tells me. Even though the hotel heiress apparently thought the joke was “hilarious,” my source says, “Paris nixed it, because she didn't want to make Britney mad.”

And if she wasn't willing to crack jokes about her new best friend's ubiquitous flashings, she certainly wasn't going talk about it with the media. “Paris blew off the red carpet press,” my source reports, “because she didn't want to be asked about Britney's panties.” (The panty-less awards show airs Dec. 10 on Fox.)

Meanwhile, I hear Hilton says she doesn't understand why the media has been so tough on Spears for partying into the wee hours. A source reports, “Paris backstage to Willa Ford says, 'I don't know why the papers are being so tough on Britney for being out at 2 a.m. At 2 a.m., the babies are asleep.”

Okay, we wouldn't recommend Brit use that argument in front of a judge during the possible custody battle she may be facing in her divorce from K-Fed.
