Wacky Wedding: H&M and Designers Say, "I Do."

What are the chances of Kanye West wearing H&M at his wedding? Probably nil, but he and fiancée Alexis Rainey were on hand Friday night to check out the so-called nuptials of H&M clothing stores and design house Viktor & Rolf.
Huh?
In one of the more bizarre fashion promotions I've ever experienced, H&M celebrated its third line with Viktor & Rolf by throwing a wedding-themed party at a private estate in Bel-Air. The fete would have made the Liza Minnelli-David Guest nuptial circus a few years back look tame by comparison. Waiters in white gloves and tails greeted guests like Carmen Electra, pop singer Jody Watley and Chloë Sevigny, as well as Owen and Luke Wilson. A mini-orchestra played tunes like Michael Jackson’s "Beat It" and Britney Spears' "Toxic." A fashion show of the Viktor & Rolf collection was held under a canopy of flowing white fabric on an all-white elevated catwalk decorated with a 12-foot wedding cake. The last model to hit the runway threw a bouquet into the audience. Before the show, the model actually joined the designers, Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren, on a receiving line under a flower-filled arch.
It may not have been the most traditional way to throw a fashion bash, but the party managed to work the kitsch quotient just right.
Now, back to that Owen Wilson. While he's reportedly dating Kate Hudson, he not only hit the H&M fete, but the next evening, he was at Hugh Hefner's annual Halloween party at the Playboy mansion. There was no sign of Ms. Hudson, who has split from husband Chris Robinson, at any of the events.
