If 90210 can do it, why not Melrose Place?

Former Melrose Place star Lisa Rinna says she's been hearing some buzz that the 1990s Aaron Spelling nighttime soap could be getting an update.

"I've heard a rumor of them bringing back the show like they did 90210," Rinna said at  TV Guide's post-Emmy party. "I heard that it's somewhere at the CW."

No surprise, but Ms. Rinna would jump at the chance to reprise her role as Taylor McBride. "I would do it in a heartbeat," she said.

Melrose Place ran from 1992 to 1999. "Let's bring it on," Rinna squealed. "Melrose, 10 years later!"

Sadly, a rep for the CW insists there are no plans to bring back Melrose Place.

That isn't the only bit of scoop I heard over the celebrity-packed Emmy weekend...

Lauren Conrad has her Halloween costume already planned out. Why? Because she made a white version of the dark blue dress she wore to the Emmys. "I love the white, but I've done several long white already," she told me. "So I'm going to keep it for Halloween. I'm gonna be an angel."

Wonder if that means we'll be seeing Heidi Montag as the devil?

Mariska Hargitay reported that her 2-year-old son, August, is turning into such a little man. He was the ring bearer at the recent wedding of Hargitay's brother. "He made quite a special night of it," the proud mom said.

Top Chef is back home in New York City, and fab host Padma Lakshmi couldn't be happier. But she's certainly being tightlipped about the new season. "We have a lot of New York oldies-but-goodies," she teased. "There's a great last dinner planned, but beyond that, I can't really tell you."

Jon Cryer revealed that in the third episode of the new season of Two and a Half Men, his character gets tasered.

"If you've been waiting to see me get tasered all this time, it's finally happening." he cracked. But where exactly does he get the painful jolt? All he'd say was, "That's the fun part."

Neil Patrick Harris hit the Emmys with his actor boyfriend, David Burtka. They predict Proposition 8, the November ballot measure that would overturn California's law allowing same-sex marriage, will fail. "I think it's just silly," the How I Met Your Mother star said about the measure. "It just seems like a no-brainer to me."
