Do Rosie O'Donnell and Fran Drescher have something New to bring to television?
Looks like it. I just got word that the funnyladies are calling their proposed television sitcom, The New 30.
Earlier this month, O’Donnell, 46, and Drescher, 50, made an impromptu announcement of the project on the former View cohost’s blog.
I’m told they’re still not sure of a third costar for the sitcom, about three women who move to Manhattan from Long Island.
“They have a few people in mind but no deals yet,” a source tells me.
Meanwhile, O’Donnell and Drescher continue to meet with television execs. They’re meeting with NBC honchos this week, my source says.
O'Donnell's rep confirmed to me, "I know that they are meeting with several people."
