Is Kathy Griffin presenting at the Primetime Emmy Awards?

That's what I'm hearing.

I sure hope it happens. The funnylady could, no doubt, make things a bit more fun on television's biggest night. The Emmys will be handed out on Sept. 21 and telecast live from L.A.'s Nokia Theatre.

No word on what award she'll be presenting...

Just last year, the star of My Life on the D-List caused an uproar when she won an Emmy for Outstanding Reality Program during the Creative Arts Emmys ceremony.

"I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus," the loudmouthed comedian said among other things. "This award is my god now."

The TV Academy decided to abbreviate Griffin's controversial words when the show was later telecast here on E!

The redheaded firecracker is once again up for Outstanding Reality Program this year, as well as one for her special Straight to Hell. Winners of those categories will be revealed at the Creative Arts ceremony on Sept. 13 and broadcast a week later on E!

In June, Ms. Griffin released a comedy album called For Your Consideration for the sole purpose of trying to snag a Grammy nomination.

A rep for this year's Primetime Emmys said she wasn't aware if Griffin had been booked to present. Griffin's rep did not comment.
