It's no secret that Selena Gomez is multitalented.

Between recording music, acting in big-screen flicks and dating Justin Bieber, the former Wizards of Waverly Place starlet manages to give back in big ways by working with causes like UNICEF and Disney's Friends for Change.

So is she on track to become the next big Hollywood do-gooder à la Angelina Jolie? We'll let Gomez explain...

"Well, that would be a compliment," Gomez laughed during an exclusive chat promoting her upcoming charity auction benefiting Alabama tornado recovery. "I definitely think she's amazing when it comes to all of her work...That would be awesome."

Gomez's most recent cause partners her with relief organization BAMA Rising and charitybuzz and gives one lucky bidder and three guests the chance to visit her on tour and hang out backstage with the "Love You Like a Love Song" singer at a concert of their choosing.

"I think it's always just kind of been a part of my family," Gomez says of being charitable. "Whenever I grew out of my clothes we would pack them up and give them to Goodwill...Now that I'm older and I live a very blessed life, it's just nice to be able to give back in a wider way because I have a platform."

As for whether she'll ever follow in Jolie's footsteps and one day get involved with the United Nations, Gomez says, "I would love to do something like that. I think obviously I should probably get more educated before I start going certain places and fighting for things."

"At the moment my goal is to open up my own organization one day," she added. "That would be amazing. I love that Ryan Seacrest has his own organization and his foundation that he helps out with. So I would love do something like that."
