I just got off the phone with the Real Housewives of New York City's resident royal, Countess LuAnn de Lesseps.
Where was she? Shooting a guest spot on SVU. Yup, you read that right.
"I can't even believe I'm standing in front of Mariska Hargitay and Chris Meloni and reading lines!" she said. "It's a far cry from Housewives, isn't it?"
She couldn't delve too much into her storyline, but she did say her wardrobe is fabulous. "I play a flamboyant art collector who is gung-ho on posing seminude for an artist that's putting together a show," LuAnn said. "She has a thing for the artist."
She's shooting tonight and will return to set next week for some more filming. "I think I'm doing a good job because they keep adding lines," she said.
No, she won't be singing on SVU ("Maybe next time," she laughed), but she will be belting out some tunes on the next season of RHONY. She teased, "I sing on the show with a major icon in the music business."
In other TV news, Office star Ellie Kemper says she's looking forward to working with a naked Will Ferrell when he shoots his multi-episode appearance on the hit NBC series. "The chance to improvise with him would be fantastic," she told me last night at Elle's Women in Television event with Ports 1961 at the Soho House in West Hollywood. "I imagine him seminaked and whatever it is with his stomach showing."
