Imagine Lauren Conrad presenting at the Oscars.

Don't laugh because the reality-television gal is getting pretty darn close.

Get ready for this one...

The Hills star is going to be a presenter when television's big awards are given out next month, a source exclusively tells me.

And her presence doesn't stop there.

I'm told the leggy models who hand the awards to winners will be wearing dresses from Conrad's fashion line. (They'll also be donning frocks from Beyoncé's design house, but the singer-actress is not expected to attend.)

It's still unclear what the talk-show queen will do, but she has agreed to be on stage for the first moments of the live telecast, a source says.

The Emmys take place Sept. 21 at the new Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles.
