We're not saying anything more than a really close friendship has developed between Rosie O'Donnell and Natasha Lyonne but, gee whiz, they sure like making us suspicious.

Huh? Read on to find out what the heck we're talking about…

The duo hit last night's opening of The Pee-wee Herman Show on Broadway. Lyonne played Opal on television's Pee-wee's Playhouse.

O'Donnell, 48, and Lyonne, 31, raised plenty of eyebrows at the afterparty at the Bryant Park Grill.

"They were like snuggle bunnies," a fellow-partygoer reports. "Everyone was like, 'What is going on there?' "

Did the two lock lips or show any other surefire signs of a romance?

"No," said the partygoer. "But if nothing is going on, it was just really strange because they were really really cozy."

Rosie's rep says, "Ridiculous. They are friends."

O'Donnell and Lyonne first became friends last year after costarring in off-Broadway's Love, Loss, and What I Wore.

The former View panelist recently gushed to Broadwayworld.com about Lyonne, "I love her in a way that I can't even explain. I think she is absolutely unique. Epically individual. So brilliant and talented and funny and smart."

Guess she really likes her. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
