Sounds like a certain guy was at the top of her list...
"The person I wanted to bring has a job and is a little busy," Kim told me on the red carpet.
The E! reality starlet wouldn't name names, but when asked if she was referring to a certain someone she's reportedly dating, Kim laughed, "You can use your imagination."
I think it's safe to say she wanted to bring Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin. He had a game in Houston the night before the Emmys and has another later this week in Miami.
Kris got a kick out of witnessing Kim's glam squading. "It took us about an hour and half to get ready," Kris said. "Watching them put together the Kim show is something quite fascinating and fabulous—especially when Lorraine Schwartz dropped off those 75 million-karat diamond studs. They're like headlights." (FYI: They were seven karats, but no matter—they were HUGE!)
Just moments before cracking a tune with Jimmy Fallon during the show, Kim was still a bit flustered about her appearance. "It's an honor but when they told me what I have to do I was like, 'Are you serious?'" she said. "But then I was like, 'You know what? It's the Emmys—why not?!'"
Kathy Griffin's mom, Maggie, was thrilled that Kim had Kris by her side. "My mom is here," Griffin said, "and she lost her s**t when she met Kim's mother!"
