Don't be surprised if Kate Gosselin is really high when she performs next week on Dancing With the Stars—high in the air, that is.

Just a couple of days after her pro partner Tony Dovolani told us Gosselin would be "flying" during her grand return to the dance floor, ABC announced earlier today that the reality-television mom of eight will perform a "high wire act."

Hopefully, she'll be more relaxed than she was when she competed on the show because...

Maksim Chmerkovskiy thinks Ms. Gosselin could have possibly had a longer run on DWTS if she had just loosened up a bit.

"I think she was so preoccupied with thinking and worrying about what everybody will think," Maksim told us at the Maxim Hot 100 party. "You have to think about how Kate and Erin [Andrews] came into this together. Erin understood it and prevailed and came out happier."

Maksim says Katy G. regrets not have having more fun. "It goes by like a snap of a finger," he explained. "It makes you go, 'Wow, I want to do this again. I should have enjoyed my waltz, my tango, my paso, my everything.' "

Meanwhile, Tony says he was surprised by how much flack he received when he twittered that he hopes Maks and Erin win this season.

"People were like, 'Why are you picking sides?' " he said. "I'm not picking sides. I love Nicole and Evan. I think they're all doing a great job, but Maks is my best friend…I just want me best friend to have a trophy."
