UPDATE: A rep for Hasty Pudding just confirmed that Anne Hathaway is the group's Woman of the Year. She will be honored at Harvard on Jan. 28.

___________

Anne Hathaway is headed for college.

I just got word that the Valentine's Day and Alice In Wonderland star will be honored next month at Harvard University as Hasty Pudding's Woman of the Year.

The legendary award is given to entertainers who have made a "lasting and impressive contribution to the world of entertainment," the Hasty Pudding theater group website reads.

For those who don't know, Hasty Pudding is no glitz and glamour red carpet event...

Hathaway will likely lead a parade through the streets surrounding the Ivy League school in Cambridge, Mass. What else they have planned is anybody's guess. Last year, honoree Renée Zellweger was persuaded to put on a fat suit.

James Franco, who was 2009's Man of the Year, was not only ambushed by the club's signature drag queens during his roast, but he was made to milk a "gay cow" to mark his work in the movie Milk.

In addition to Zellweger, other A-listers who have been named Women of the Year include Charlize Theron, Scarlett Johansson, Halle Berry, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Sandra Bullock.

No word on who will follow Franco as this year's male honoree.

Hathaway's rep did not comment.
