Selena Gomez isn't ditching Wizards of Waverly Place, but she is ready to show you what else she's made of.

No, she's not hitting Miley Cyrus' stripper pole anytime soon...

But she is about to show off her vocal talents like never before. Her debut album, Kiss & Tell, drops Sept. 29.

"It's fun pop rock, and it has a dance beat to it," Gomez, 17, tells me. "I've been working on it for two years, so let's hope that it's good."

And what about that title of the album—should we be looking for hints about her personal life in song lyrics? "No," the multitalented starlet says with a smile. "That's why I only wrote one song on the album."

As for the increased media scrutiny on her love life (she's been linked to Nick Jonas and Taylor Lautner), Gomez appears to be handling it quite well.

"Honestly, I just do what I do, live day by day and try not to focus on that," she said. "It is unfortunate, but it comes with the job."
