NeNe Leakes: From Reality Star to Shoe Designer

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star reveals she's about to enter the fashion world

Forget Louboutin and push aside those Jimmy Choos—Real Housewives of Atlanta breakout star NeNe Leakes wants a piece of your feet.

"I'm currently working on a shoe line," NeNe tells me. "I'm doing it with a company out of New York. I can't talk about it too much because we haven't sealed a deal yet, but we've been meeting."

Ms. NeNe is one busy lady these days…

Not only is the second season of RHOA premiering next Thursday, but next month she becomes a first-time author.

In her debut book, Never Make the Same Mistake Twice, she writes about a man who allegedly abused her, her rocky relationships with fellow Housewives Kim Zolciak and Sheree Whitfield and finding out who real father is. "I don't hold back," NeNe says. "I tell it like it is."

And then there's the church congregation of about 10,000 people she's going to be talking to in Baltimore. At first, she didn't think it was the right fit because "I'm spiritual, but not religious," she explained.

But then the minister convinced her to do it. "He said, 'I saw a calling in you when I saw you on the show,' " NeNe says. "I said, 'OK, I'm there.' "
