It appears to be the end of an era, folks.

Lisa Rinna has given up her long-standing crusade to join the cast of the CW's Melrose Place remake. "We had a moment, and it was real fun," Rinna tells us. "I've moved on. It's all good."

After breaking the news to us back in October that the CW was going to give the series a second run, Rinna started a very public campaign to convince producers she should reprise her role as Taylor McBride...

Her most recent effort included being filmed for a segment on Ross "The Intern" Matthews' new web show. She stood on a corner of Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles with a sandwich board reading, "Honk 4 Lisa Rinna on the New Melrose Place."

The CW recently announced that two of the most prominent Melrose veterans, Thomas Calabro (Michael Mancini) and Laura Leighton (Sydney Andrews) will reprise their roles on Melrose 2.0.

"I just wonder how they're going to bring Laura back, because she was dead," Rinna says. "I remember filming the scene. She's dead. She's dead. They wanna fool me and say she wasn't, but she's dead."
