After Hannah Montana ends its run on the Disney Channel, don't look for Miley Cyrus to star in another television series.

“I love doing Hannah Montana, but I don’t know if I would want to do another show,” Miley told me yesterday at the Academy of Country Music Awards at Las Vegas' MGM Grand.

But then again, her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, didn’t think he’d do another series after Doc went off the air in 2004.

“Dad was like, ‘It would be hard to do another show,’ but then, not even a year later, he signs up for Hannah Montana!” Miley remembered.

And now things may come full circle because dad is thinking about a Doc reunion. “There’s some talk about it,” said Billy Ray, whose new album, Back to Tennessee, drops tomorrow. “If they come up with a good story, sure, I’d do it.”

After the ACMs, Miley was off to New Orleans for an appearance on Live With Regis and Kelly (at least that's what she posted on Twitter). Then she heads to Europe to promote the Hannah Montana movie before returning stateside to shoot the next season of the hit Disney Channel series and the movie adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' novel The Last Song.

And why wasn't boyfriend Justin Gaston in Vegas yesterday to catch Miley's performance of "The Climb" during the awards show?

“He’s back in California,” Miley said. “He doesn’t get to do the fun stuff.”
