Could Lipstick Jungle Move to Another Network?
Could Lipstick Jungle be resurrected on another channel? Things are hard for hourlong dramas at NBC right now, especially with Jay Leno coming to the network soon and taking all the 10 p.m. slots, but there's been talk of a network swap that might just save the show.
Could it really happen?Jungle star Lindsay Price gives us the exclusive scoop...

30 Rock & Office Renewed! So What About Heroes?
It doesn't take a rocket scientist or Dwight Schrute to figure out which two NBC comedies must stick around to keep the network alive and kicking: The Office and 30 Rock.
And so today, to the surprse of no one, NBC has made an early announcement to pick up The Office and 30 Rock for the 2009-2010 season.
"These renewals represent our faith in The Office and 30 Rock as they continue to represent the gold standard in acclaimed and award-winning series," says NBC President Angela Bromstad.
NBC also picked up The Biggest Loser for another year.
But wait a minute. What about those other NBC fan favorites, like Heroes, Chuck, Lipstick Jungle, Friday Night Lights and Life? Will they survive? Well...

NBC Axes My Own Worst Enemy and Lipstick Jungle
Multiple reliable sources have just confirmed that NBC gave the ax today to My Own Worst Enemy (starring Christian Slater) and Lipstick Jungle (starring Brooke Shields, Kim Raver and Lindsay Price).
NBC is not commenting. However, insiders say that no further episodes have been ordered for either series. Still, despite the fact that NBC is not confirming that it's done with these shows, prospects for their futures remain dim at best.
Despite a promising premise, Enemy never got off the ground in the Nielsens. Lipstick too, struggled to find a wide audience, despite a small but devoted fanbase and having received a second chance for a sophomore season. (Lipstick's first season was cut short by the writers strike.)
One upside to these cuts?

Save It or Sink It: Lipstick Jungle
Here's a bit of advice for all you ladies who aspire to bigger, better things:
Go to lunch.
See, in addition to fabulous shoes, the one thing that all the ladies of Sex and the City, Women's Murder Club, Cashmere Mafia and Lipstick Jungle seem to have in common is the time and money to enjoy long, leisurely midday meals with their gal-pals. (If nothing else, their sterling example of have-it-all success gives you the perfect excuse to run out for drinks with your best girlfriends.)
However, if you've got an hour to kill between now and your next three-appletini lunch, check out the latest installment in the fabulous city-girl sweepstakes, Lipstick Jungle, which premieres tonight at 10 p.m. on NBC. Then swing back around here to gossip shamelessly about who looked cute, who should be doing whom and what you thought of the whole production. We'll be waiting for you...
Cheers!
Lipstick Jungle vs. Cashmere Mafia: Who Wins?
You know that scene in The Parent Trap where Hayley Mills and Hayley Mills realize they were separated at birth and their dreams of one big happy family were squashed because their parents just couldn’t get along?
Well, you might feel something similar watching this Thursday’s premiere of Lipstick Jungle on NBC, which at first glance seems a genetic carbon copy of that other Cashmere show.
See, the story has been told since last spring that Candace Bushnell (author of Sex and the City) and Darren Star (producer of Sex and the City) were working together on a TV version of her book Lipstick Jungle (Page Six even said they were living together at the time) but couldn’t see eye to eye. Hence, mommy and daddy separated and created two new series with very similar premises: Star’s Cashmere Mafia by ABC (which premiered last month) and Bushnell’s Lipstick Jungle by NBC (which premieres Thursday).
When you see Lipstick’s premiere ep, you may want to start singing, “Let’s get together, what do you say?” ‘Cause while Lipstick is, in my opinion, the better show, combining elements from the two series would make one fantastic series.
So, just because I'm so very helpful, I did a little head-to-head matchup between the shows. Read on to find out which show comes out ahead on such points as best man-candy or best working-mom character. It will also help you envision what might have been the ultimate post-SATC series: Cashmere Lipstick Mafia Jungle, from Candace Bushnell and Darren Star.
