Lipstick Jungle Is Really, Truly Canceled
Ding, dong, Lipstick Jungle's dead. For real this time. Brooke Shields says so herself.
Although rumors of the NBC show's demise started swirling in December, Brooke told E!'s Kristin Dos Santos that there was still hope at the time. Well, not anymore.
"It was going to stay and we just were officially told it's finally not coming back," she said at the Latisse launch party last night. "It's very sad. I think a lot of people were really sad, but I think we hung on a really long time. It was three great years that we've been working on it."
So what's next for the Lipstick ladies?

Could Lipstick Jungle Move to Another Network?
Could Lipstick Jungle be resurrected on another channel? Things are hard for hourlong dramas at NBC right now, especially with Jay Leno coming to the network soon and taking all the 10 p.m. slots, but there's been talk of a network swap that might just save the show.
Could it really happen?Jungle star Lindsay Price gives us the exclusive scoop...
A Lipstick Jungle Bungle: Designer Duds Stolen
Who wouldn't covet the incredible designer wares that Kim Raver, Brooke Shields and Lindsay Price strut around Manhattan on Lipstick Jungle?
A stage manager from NBC's style-driven drama must have figured he could cash a bonus check courtesy of the fashionistas' fashions while he awaited the show's (likely negative) fate.
Only, that bonus check wasn't simply handed to 27-year-old Arthur Moreira.
He's been charged with stealing nearly $30,000 worth of wardrobe, according to the Brooklyn district attorney's office. The crew member was arrested in his apartment Friday after police purchased some of the stolen fashions from him on eBay.

30 Rock & Office Renewed! So What About Heroes?
It doesn't take a rocket scientist or Dwight Schrute to figure out which two NBC comedies must stick around to keep the network alive and kicking: The Office and 30 Rock.
And so today, to the surprse of no one, NBC has made an early announcement to pick up The Office and 30 Rock for the 2009-2010 season.
"These renewals represent our faith in The Office and 30 Rock as they continue to represent the gold standard in acclaimed and award-winning series," says NBC President Angela Bromstad.
NBC also picked up The Biggest Loser for another year.
But wait a minute. What about those other NBC fan favorites, like Heroes, Chuck, Lipstick Jungle, Friday Night Lights and Life? Will they survive? Well...
The Clock Is Ticking on Lipstick Jungle
Is there any hope for Lipstick Jungle?
Nearly a month after the news first broke that the series may be a goner, scores of you fans are still emailing in—daily—to ask about the show's fate.
Well, we just checked in with highly placed sources who work on the show, not to mention the fabulous Brooke Shields herself, and there is some good news...
Lipstick Jungle's Working Girls Lose to Spitzer's Working Girl
The last thing Lipstick Jungle needed? Eliot Spitzer's, um, lady friend.
On Friday, ABC's 20/20 rode an interview with Ashley Dupré, the, um, escort whose, um, relationship with Spitzer drove the politician from New York's governorship, to a season-best 8.2 million viewers, Nielsen estimates said.
Airing opposite the Diane Sawyer "get," and CBS' typically solid Numb3rs (11.2 million), Lipstick Jungle was abandoned by all but 3.3 million, down 8 percent from its previous weak performance.
Among all-important adults 18-49, the endangered NBC show barely registered, pulling a 1.1 rating.
A TiVo favorite, Lipstick's numbers will look better once a week's worth of DVR playback is added in. But they're still not going to look as good as Spitzer's, um, you know.

NBC Axes My Own Worst Enemy and Lipstick Jungle
Multiple reliable sources have just confirmed that NBC gave the ax today to My Own Worst Enemy (starring Christian Slater) and Lipstick Jungle (starring Brooke Shields, Kim Raver and Lindsay Price).
NBC is not commenting. However, insiders say that no further episodes have been ordered for either series. Still, despite the fact that NBC is not confirming that it's done with these shows, prospects for their futures remain dim at best.
Despite a promising premise, Enemy never got off the ground in the Nielsens. Lipstick too, struggled to find a wide audience, despite a small but devoted fanbase and having received a second chance for a sophomore season. (Lipstick's first season was cut short by the writers strike.)
One upside to these cuts?
