Last Chance to Save a Life
Yes, Lost and Idol are both on tonight, but if you have any room in your heart or your DVR, will you please give the season finale of Life a shot? It's a wonderful, weird series, and it's being included in our Save One Show campaign this year because it's very much in danger. (And a great Nielsen number from this one last blast would do wonders for Life's renewal prospects!)
In honor of the finale and our above shameless begging, we snagged some dish from creator Rand Ravich and star Damian Lewis about the past, present and future of Det. Charlie Crews...

Big Boss Spills Scoop on the Rest of Your Life
Update 5:17 p.m.: Network sources confirm that Gabrielle Union (love her!) will be joining Life as "special guest star in a multiepisode story arc." And as Rand told us, she'll be a partner for Crews, but she's apparently playing an important role for Dani Reese as well: "Reese will not be pregnant on the show. But we will take this opportunity to not only bring on a new detective but to explore a new path in Reese's life that takes her back to a darkly familiar place." Awesome.

Life is back tonight! The fan-favorite cop show (a drama that is also tremendously funny) ended in December with the shocking drive-by shooting of Charlie Crews (Damian Lewis), and fans have been waiting with bated breath to find out two things: Is he OK, and whodunit?
Read on for the word from Life's big boss, executive producer Rand Ravich, about the coming episodes, as well as dish about the future of the series: Will Life be back for season three?

Life: Sarah Shahi Is Pregnant
Life and L Word star Sarah Shahi is having a baby!
Life show runner Rand Ravich tells me, "Sarah Shahi is pregnant. She's about four months pregnant." (Shahi's reps have not replied to a request for confirmation.)
Now, this means only good things for Sarah (congratulations, girl!), but what does this mean for Dani Reese and her partner Charlie Crews (Damian Lewis) on one of the best shows on television, NBC's cult hit Life?
Rand spills that Sarah's pregnancy means big changes for the show, including a separation for the partners and a new job for Reese...

30 Rock & Office Renewed! So What About Heroes?
It doesn't take a rocket scientist or Dwight Schrute to figure out which two NBC comedies must stick around to keep the network alive and kicking: The Office and 30 Rock.
And so today, to the surprse of no one, NBC has made an early announcement to pick up The Office and 30 Rock for the 2009-2010 season.
"These renewals represent our faith in The Office and 30 Rock as they continue to represent the gold standard in acclaimed and award-winning series," says NBC President Angela Bromstad.
NBC also picked up The Biggest Loser for another year.
But wait a minute. What about those other NBC fan favorites, like Heroes, Chuck, Lipstick Jungle, Friday Night Lights and Life? Will they survive? Well...
Life: Tune In Tonight to Feel the Earth Move...
If you're a fan of Damian Lewis, the earth might always move when you watch NBC's Life, but tonight, it's really happening on the screen, courtesy of a big earthquake hitting L.A.
So...everyone's got to be safe, right? Maybe not. In fact, tonight's compelling episode focuses on the shocking murder of a fan favorite.
Is this character brought down by the Big One, by Det. Crews or by parties unknown? We hit the set for scoop, so read on for dish from Damian and Sarah Shahi about love, liquor and Life...
Breaking! Happy Day: Chuck, Life Get Full Seasons
Great news, kids. Inside sources tell me two of my new faves, Chuck and Life, have both gotten "back nine" orders from NBC, meaning when the strike ends they'll get full seasons!
Now, what does this delicious news mean in the grand scheme of things?
Well, about a month ago, I heard from a source very close to Chuck that the network was not going to pick it up until after the strike was over. Talks resumed today, and rumor has it things are looking very positive. Could the bosses over at the Peacock net know something good about the strike ending sometime soon? Let's hope so!
Also, what about NBC's other freshman shows? Sadly, it seems like Journeyman will only finish 12 episodes before going off into that good night. And Bionic Woman? Well, despite everyone's highest hopes, it continues to struggle, and today, a blogger reported that Katee Sackhoff has left that building...
What do you guys think? Should Journeyman and Bionic Woman also get full-season pickups? Or are you just so happy about more Chuck and Life that all the other shows don't matter? Post your thoughts in the Comments section!
